There was a pre-Lewinsky time, before moral relativism blurred America's vision, when associating with people like Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers would have automatically excluded someone from attaining the highest office in the land. Back then, anyone with well known connections to such America-averse personalities would have been rejected by a super-majority of the electorate during primary season and almost certainly blocked by the Democratic Party before they could have gotten to within a mile of the White House. But those days -- when patriotic, true liberals like Joe Lieberman were considered typical Democratic Party politicians -- are gone. Now politicians like Lieberman are banished to the Party's periphery and leftists, not liberals, like Denis Kucinich, Bernie Sanders, Jim McDermott, John Kerry, (who served in Vietnam), Jim McGovern, Patrick Leahy, Richard Durbin, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have replaced them.

You'd have to go back a way before Lewinsky to find those times. Back to the Eighties to find a time when those connections could keep a candidate out of the White House, and back to the Seventies or so, to find a time when those left-liberals didn't dominate the Democratic side of Congress.

Hillary Clinton's connection to Bob Treuhaft didn't hurt her husband's campaign. Now, with Obama in the picture, she's almost seen as one of those "old school" Democrats people point at to show how much the party has changed.

Yikes! With the FBI and CIS issuing subpoenas to CRI and CT do you suppose it could be making Fat Jack a little nervous? I know if it was me I’d be danged nervous.

Hopefully when he goes to bed at night he’s giving some thought to those bars they have at federal prisons and the stripes that the turkeys breaking rocks wear. LOL!

Good for Clarice Feldman for noticing this even though WaPo had buried it and bringing it forth, she does good work.

Thanks! I'm glad you agree. Until WE the PEOPLE take back the language and frame the debate, we will get no where fast!

Of course I am in total agreement with your assessment of the talking heads. I grew weary of them months ago and finally silenced the last 2 I bothered to listen to last January.

Yeah for Clarice! Thanks for the ping.

Praying the old boy is sweating blood and we get him soon!
I still hope for the day we can get two turkeys with one shot!

The quote
"He [Obama] was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation. . . As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better."
comes from an article in The New Republic, The Agitator: Barack Obama's unlikely political education, by Ryan Lizza. It's an article well worth reading --- the author spoke a great deal with Senator Obama and others about his days as a "community organizer."

As do I, Dear Lady. Not only would it be a good day for Pennsylvania, it would be a good day for our country.

Two turkeys with one shot ...

We could have a real Thanksgiving feast...at smooth's place! You would simply have to come east for the celebration and Mrs. Smooth's delicious turkey!

The 2000 election chad fight in Florida was the absolute last straw for me. I could never again consider a Democrat a friend. They are either too evil or too stupid to be my friend.

You know, I think that's the same point where I began to feel that way about Democrats in my circle. Since 2000, it's been a never ending conundrum for me, mostly because I can't easily disconnect from all of the Democrats I know. A lot of them are unfortunately family.

I'm often reminded of the schisms that occurred in families during the Civil War (or the War of Northern Aggression, if that's your term). My GGG Grandfather was a Brig General for the Confederacy, while his brother served on the Federal side. In modern times, things have split so badly along political lines in my family, that one of my brothers (a radical moonbat) no longer speaks to me.

I’m only about a quarter of the way through this, and already know it’s good enough to be considered for your ping lists. So far, it’s an excellent succinct summary of where we stand.

I don't want to have to see us "water the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots and tyrants", but we'll eventually have to confront the American left head-on, if we're to have any hope of taking this country back. We certainly aren't going to do it by sitting at our computers and chattering about it.

I don't know about others, but this eventuality consumes my thoughts more and more lately.

This looks like the first thread. It was also posted on a frontpage news sidebar. I’ll link on that thread. I gave it a 98% correct. It’s a fairly comprehensive analysis.

Tolik, why don’t you ping on this thread?

This is such a good case of everything in a nutshell. Take a tip from freegram: it should be copied and left everywhere-waiting rooms, grocery stores, you name it. The only thing I detest more than Democrats is Satan himself. But I love this saying: It's a good day when you wake up, swing your feet to the floor and Satan says, "Oh nooooooooooo, she's awake."

However, the link at Post #42 is SUCH welcome news!!!!!!!! Supeonas issued in Pennsylvania to Murtha's jackleg bootleg companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!!!

On another note, this is an interesting piece of history I uncovered when looking for that horrid picture of murtha holding my baby. The history of the artist in the context of this work is striking. IMO, murtha decided sheep weren't good enough, he wanted to #^@% Marines AND their moms. He can kiss my ass, go to hell, and then I want to drink beer with any Marine who's willing... on the way to his grave.
