"A guy like him should shut his face" ----- Clint Eastwood responding to Spike Lee's criticism of Eastwood's Iwo Jima movie "Flags of Our Fathers". Lee noted the lack of African-Americans in Eastwood's movie. Eastwood said, "there was a small detachment of black troops on Iwo Jima as a part of a munitions company, but they didn't raise the flag".

[... Spike Lee disapproves of inter-racial couples.
What would we say about a white person with the same views????...]
Indeed. The utter disenfranchisement of white Americans
is complete and irrevocable. Yet Black Americans owe
their liberties to white Americans who willingingly risked
their lives and property to free them.
A good line, to be sure, but one I wouldn't have minded hearing was from his movie "Heartbraek Ridge", when his character, Thomas "Gunney" Highway, was trying to encourage a member of his unit to stand strong against the unit major:
"Come on, Profile, don't give the pr*** the satisfaction. You can make it."
The major, who was off to the side, saw the fallen officer get up and continue, and he (played by Everett McGill), went up to Highway.
POWERS: "What did you say, Gunnery Sergeant?"
HIGHWAY: "I said, 'Don't give the pr*** the satisfaction'...sir."
No good will come from the emotions that Obama is unleashing in America,in both his opponents and in his supporters.
A tragedy is in the making.
Hey Spike, there was a Native American in the flagraising scene.Historically accurate. You jealous, meat?
Actually, there were Army Black Americans driving in the DUKW’s and one earned a medal for valor for risking his life saving some wounded Marines whose boat flipped in the surf
And, I am sure there were black sailors
Unless you want to spend all that money on digitally shrinking him.
BRAVE AMERICANS ALL

During the Battle of the Bulge, 2,500 blacks were formed into all black Infantry platoons and attached to larger units. The famed 761st Tank Battalion spent 183 continuous days in combat in the European Theater, earning a Presidential Unit Citation. The 333rd Field Artillery bravely supported ground operations in France. Three all-black air units flew overseas: 332nd Fighter Group, 477th Bombardment Group and the 99th Fighter Squadron. Sixty-six Black pilots were killed in action. A total of 140,000 blacks served in the Army Air Forces. Nearly 150,000 Blacks served in the Navy. Of the 12,000 Black Marines, 9 were killed in action.
What's so silly is there are lots of examples of heroic Black Americans who fought bravely in all wars. Why doesn't Spike just make a movie about them. My hat's off to Clint for trying to make an accurate film.
Come think of it at his age Clint could kick Spike Lee a*** why he was original Gym rat and health food freak this go back to Warner Bros days when he was contract player during Rawhide when Jack Warner sign his checks
Piss on spike tiny lee.
Eastwood doesn’t need anything but the
bottom of his boot to squash little Spikey.
"I know what you're thinking: Did he fire six shots, or only five? Well, to tell you the truth in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being this is the most powerful hand gun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?"
GUNNY: I’ll tell you what’s black and bleeding if it don’t shut its face. (Heartbreak Ridge)
GUNNY (to Lee): "With all due respect, sir, you're beginning to bore the hell out of me." (Heartbreak Ridge)
GUNNY (to Lee): "Now...it's my will against yours...and you WILL lose. So...oh six hundred tomorrow...that's six o'clock...in the morning...for all you people who don't 'habla'."
I found the “Heartbreak Ridge” quotes to be
rather blue. Funny, but blue. LOVED that movie.
HEARTBREAK RIDGE is indeed one of my favorite films...Dealing with the Grenada operation...I don’t think liberals were too supportive of that operation.
I liked how the Eastwood character managed to make a group of undisciplined men into Marines. Oh, the Eastwood character also made his commanding officer, who is younger than he, get some “backbone”.
