Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas

In this election we have very a clear choice to make.

A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.

A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.

A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.

A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.

A choice between small government or big government.

A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.

Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.

God Bless America and our brave troops.

Who will save us from the disaster named McCain? He is as bad or worse than Jimmy Carter and will not receive my vote.

Then you are SURELY helping Obama , a Marxist , get into the White House. How can you justify that ?

He doesn’t want or need my vote. Good thing, he won’t get it.

.

I’m comparing it to WWII after Hitler took Paris

Let’s just see how staying home in 2006 worked out

I see the same bunch saying it will really really really work in 2012 if Obama wins

It's a rotten choice, for sure, but look at it as a contest between a patriot and an opportunist, between a man of substance and an empty suit!

My goodness, do we prefer to be governed by the faculty of Harvard University over the first 100 names in the Boston phone directory? That's about the choice we have to make (with apologies to William F. Buckley, RIP.)

For the absolutists they want 100%

Not true. I gladly voted for Bush. His "compassionate conservative" crap told me he was far less than 100% conservative. McCain is spitting in the face of conservatives - so there is no reason to support him. Further, if elected, he will take many more steps to try to deconstruct the right.

The only reason to vote for McCain is because Obama will capitulate to the terrorists - and that always leads to dire consequences. JFK, almost got us into a nuclear war because he was perceived as weak. Obama, will be perceived as extremely weak and terrorists around the world will be emboldened. If Americans don't like the war in Iraq, just wait until they see the war Obama will give us.

So, lets get real and quit trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. McCain is no friend of conservatives, but Obama is likely to get many of us killed.

I’d support Zod for Secretary of Defense. He seems like a guy who could really get things done. He’d force Amanidijad to kneel before him.

I feel very comfortable voting for McCain. He is a honorable and loyal American. I am a very hard right conservative (I didn't join the John Birch Society because they were to liberal). The chances of my type of government has a much better with McCain then the liberal, liberal, Hussein.

There was a comment on a thread a few weeks back that said the reason Mcpains ACU rating was so high was because he missed so many votes. Maybe I bookmarked the thread, I'll see if I can find it.

Looking at the ACU score card for 2007 and the 25 votes that they score, McCain voted conservative eight times, he voted liberal two times and he was absent 15 times.

He voted against both Clinton’s and GHW Bush’s tax hikes.

Both before he radically changed in 1998-2000.

Freepers have two choices:

1: vote for McCain
or
2: vote for socialism, higher taxes and curtailed liberty.

Only DUmmies will vote #2.

Childish name calling and threats of gloom and doom just aren't cutting it. We left that back in the school yard, remember? I'm not voting for McCain just because he has an "R" next to his name.

That little "R"; used to mean something more than DemocratLite.

So... when (if) it means small government, lower taxes and a strong defense (both abroad and at home) again, I'll vote for the "R". I'll also give money to the national party again and help in any way I can.

Until then, no. And all the name calling or heckling in the world will help.

Fine , then your are letting someone way worse than Mc Cain into the White House. There are ONLY 2 choices .I didn’t get my way either as far as candidates go but what the hell am I going to do ? Sit and sulk and NOT vote at all. It’s a crappy choice for sure but I’ll be dammed if I participate in helping a Bolshevik get into power in the US. Not voting is not going to spite anyone .

...like the old “”joke””; “I'm afraid after I die that I'll be voting Democrat”.

Put it on a poster -- it'll help Republicans exercise more, quit smoking, eat a healthy diet. When we die, dems will vote us.

Voting for McCain is a vote to keep Obama out. I guess we can put you in Obama’s camp eh? Reagan is not available for comment.

Hillary, Obama, and McCain are in a small boat on a stormy ocean. The boat capsizes. Who survives?

When people are drowning, they panic, they drag others down with 'em. That don't sound bad. LOLOLOLOL
