WARREN, Mich. -- Police said 20 to 30 men who brutally attacked and robbed a motorist Saturday night may also be responsible for several other violent crimes that took place the same day.
Four people were taken into custody for questioning after a motorist was beaten unconscious.
Police said the incident took place when Andy Kauffman, 29, and his wife, Angelina, were driving on North River Road when more than two dozen men wearing ball caps and baggy shorts spread out across the street and blocked traffic.
Kauffman tried to drive past them and someone threw a brick in his window. Kauffman stopped his car and got out to see what happened.
"At that point at least 12 of the subjects jumped on him, beating and kicking him several times to the point where he was unconscious," Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said. "A second man then got out of the car and also was attacked, but not nearly as bad as the first individual."
A short time later, police were called to a gas station nearby for a fight.
A man who was using the pay phone was beaten. He was not seriously injured, police said.
Police said there were several incidents within a few hours and they fear the same group of attackers was involved.

Only had to “show it” once, and the mob of “yutes” scattered quickly.
>>>>I’m a little curious about the 5 shot .357. What is this ?
An archaic, highly overrated, underpowered weapon!
Sounds bizzare. Any info on what sort of "men wearing ball caps" these were, their motive, or how they came to be associated with each other to be doing this sort of crap?
Didn’t he say that he would come back 20 years later?
If the Dems get their super majority and Obama gets elected you can count on it changing. The Supreme Court won't save us either since Obama will probably get to nominate three new justices.
Well, the Pistons do have some freetime on their hands these days.
>An archaic, highly overrated, underpowered weapon!<
MindBender26,
Would you step out in front of one?
This happened in my city. About 3 miles from my home. Ya think I’m a bit concerned?
The local school had about 60 seniors break in and do a bit of trashing last week and now a mob of Yoots take this guy down. They are linked with a bunch of other events and damage the same night. They were at a carnival and apparently just got together and went on a rampage.
There are a whole bunch of CCW holders in my town, so I suspect this won’t be allowed to get too out of hand
I also employ the don’t stop in a crowd of baggy pants people who block my car.
Adriene Barbeau (sp?) had it going on.
The data is from year 2000, Google demographics Detroit
Race
One race 929229 97.68%
White 116599 12.26%
Black or African American 775772 81.55%
etc etc
Even the latinos won’t live in Detroit.
I am not that familiar with that area but it is kind of out in the boonies, close to Lake St. Clair. From my limited knowledge, the perps could have been Cartheginians or Norwegians or even Canadian Indians from Walpole Island.
>Brick hits window. Get on the gas, and stay on the gas until you get to the next county. The vehicle is a weapon, too, if you will use it as one.<
If you are community minded, you might pull up 500 yards, get out the -06 and do some preventative clean-up for the return trip. I believe ammunition is tax deductible when used for the good of the community. Check with your City Manager for reloads.
More likely, rampaging Insane Greek Fishermen!
So are you volunteering to be shot by one?
The Supreme Court and a dim majority are the two best reasons to vote for McCain.
I think he did, yes.
Too bad he didn’t properly arm himself upon his return.
