McCain reaches out to disgruntled Clinton supporters

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Reuters) - Memo to disappointed women supporters of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton: Republican John McCain wants your vote.

McCain, the senator from Arizona who has wrapped up his party's White House nomination, moved on Wednesday to woo women and other Clinton backers whose disappointment over her defeat by Illinois Sen. Barack Obama could cause them to switch teams.

"I would welcome any of Senator Clinton's supporters' vote," McCain told reporters in Louisiana, adding he would seek backing from people across the political spectrum.

the template is already proven. probably 90% of us got lock stock and barrel behind pres. bush in 2004 all because of the big bad wolf KERRY, yet look at what we got anyway. I am a fence sitter right now when it comes to those two, although I prefer one a bit over the other.

The truth is, though, Reagan stayed centered who he was and Conservatism, AND THE DISAFFECTED DEMOCRATS CAME OVER TO HIM.

In McSHAMNESTY's case, with no moral center nor conservative underpinning like The Gipper, HE WILL PHILOSOPHICALLY GO OVER THE FENCE to the liberals way of thinking just to get those Democrats.

You know, Reagan reached out to Democrats too and a bunch of them voted for him.

The hell he did! He campaigned on core conservative principles...his core principles and Americans responded. He never "reached out" to the other side. McCain just capitulates to the left. Attacks the Constitution, fights to keep our borders open and is now threatening to attack our economy in the name of fighting climate change. Ronald Reagan would NEVER have reached out in such a way.

I am just reading the tea leaves. If he actually pulls off the unimagineable, an actual win against Obama, you will hear it starting fast and furiously from just about early December on into the inauguration. I would also, however, expect FR McCAINBOTS at that time, though, to applaud our steady march into socialism if while continuing to call themselves conservatives and being on this FR forum. We will get picture after picture of him with Cindy and adoring posts bordering on certifiable cult-mentality.
