All 3 candidates have live speeches planned tonight- incoming results from the LAST (can you believe it) of the Dem primaries- it seemed a live thread was called for!
You’d think he could have been coached to give a better speech. So he’ll never be a barn burner of a speaker - if I were going to vote for whoever is the best speaker I’d vote for Obama - which I sure am NOT doing.
Why is it the Democrats get these speakers and we get the substance? BJ could give a speech (according to some) and of course Obama...blah blah blah. We end up with the good ideas but are unable to communicate them in an effective way for TV. Oh Ronaldus Magnus, I miss you!
I have a guess at the answer to your question... The media, and open primaries.
If Romney puts Michigan not only in play but in the column for McCain, then he should be given serious consideration.
McCain needs to get over his personal problem with Romney. Nothing was given to Romney, he’s gone out and done the right things to be successful.
But he’s not part of the corrupt Senators club. McCain does annoy me with his fraternal comments about Obama and Shrillary. Enough already.
I wonder if it possible to have an election and nobody comes. It probably is the best we could hope for.
Amen, on all points.
Oooooooooooooooooooooo
Obama offer MEEEEEEEEE the VP
PLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE
I’ll turn it down of course...
But offer it to MEEEEEEEEEE
Late polling showed her surging ahead.
I'd love to see her win both tonight....heads in the Clinton and Obama households should explode simultaneously.....and the Dimm super delegates will all be hung over tomorrow ;^D
That Shrillary takes one more state is great as Obama limps backwards to the finish line.
The irony of how each shows the weakness of the other is priceless.
Tim Russert feigning concern that the enthusiasm in Obama's base will not be seen in McCain's base.
“McCains already gonna win Florida”
I agree. He gets the Pan Handle. The Cubans. The old people. And maybe even a decent percentage of the Jewish community. He will get the expats from MI and OH, NE suburbanites that fled the big city problems.
Romney is smart. McCain just seems stupid to me. Look at the things he pushed as Senator. He can’t seem to think beyond initial concepts.
Our back-benchers coming up aren’t half-bad speakers - Crist, Jindal, Steele, Kasich... Kasich will probably run against Strickland for Gov of Ohio in 3 years.
We can be extremely innovative.
(big Cheshire).
But his perseverance on the WOT and Iraq is admirable, and I feel safe while he is in office.
As a man, I admire and love him, and many Americans do as well. McCain - I will vote for him but I'll have to have a few beers before I pull the lever - I just can't tolerate him.
How on earth did we find ourselves in this predicament?
From a strategic pt of view, I somewhat disagree that he should have done this last night. Tonight he got the spotlight. Yesterday it would have been just another speech.
OTH, given how awful it was, I personally wish he’d given it last night with no coverage.
I was watching, but his speaking style just about put me to sleep!
I can imagine Hillary begging for VP in Miss Piggy’s voice
LOL
Don’t really care what the MSM is saying - what has Hillary said? Why does everyone suddenly believe the media since it’s Hillary being pushed aside? Does anyone really think they won’t do the same to McCain, now? Starting tomorrow???
I think I need an aspirin, I feel an incredible headache coming on...
