White Women Take the Gloves Off

The woman who shouted "McCain in '08" at the Democratic rules committee was speaking for a multitude. After mounting for months, female anger over the choreographed dumping on Hillary Clinton and her supporters has exploded -- and party loyalty be damned. That the women are beginning to have a good time is an especially bad sign for Barack Obama's campaign. "Obama will NOT get my vote, and one step more," Ellen Thorp, a 59-year-old flight attendant from Houston told me. "I have been a Democrat for 38 years. As of today, I am registering as an independent. Yee Haw!" A new Pew Research Center poll points to a surging tide of fury, especially among white women. As recently as April, this group preferred Obama over the presumptive Republican John McCain by three percentage points. By May, McCain enjoyed an eight-point lead among white women. .

Write-ins for Obama? That’s who your vote for unnamed protest candidate will elect.

It's not going to matter a hill of beans, even if I were really going to write in another choice. McCain is going to be buried by the Obamanation, with, or without us.

Do you honestly think that McCain stands a chance against the full weight and momentum of the Obamassiah and his MSM backers? He can't even excite a roomful of faithful Republicans.

Read the comments on all of these McCain/Obama threads --- the man isn't even getting the support of his natural base, and he doesn't exactly have the independents and right-of-center Democrats fainting in the aisles either.

My point is this .. unless our side galvanizes behind a standard bearer we can all get excited about, we don't have a chance of stopping Obama anyway, so it's really all moot.

I only wish that Fred hadn't dropped out, or had suspended his campaign. He's someone I would still support.

As I've always said... "you CANNOT control a woman who has her mind made up.".

It would be easier to hold back tomorrow.

Obama’s plans for our security or should I say lack of security, now that's what scares me, not where the terrorists are held. And as far as Mccain’s being pro-life and being up against a dem congress? Well it sure beats an Obama who is pro-death to babies and a racist to boot.

Staying home and setting on my vote would be a vote for the pro-death to babies racist Obama who has stated his plans to trash our security measures.

I agree that we should all get out and vote this November. I just don’t know that I can give my one vote to John McCain. I may have to vote for a write-in candidate to ease my conscience. Heck, McCain doesn’t need my vote anyway. He’s told me so, for years and years now.
