Hard to guess, why it was done, but it worked, think of the thousands of lost dollars to Walmart.

No doubt Wal-mart lost a TON of money this afternoon... My husband probably had at least $75.00 worth of stuff in his basket. And, I don’t think we’ll be going back in the next day or so, frankly. At least I won’t be - my husband is probably braver than I!
I’m still in shock, but just flabbergasted at the amount of time it took him to leave the store - and he was in the checkout lanes at the time right by the front of the store. I can’t imagine how long it took those in the back of the store to get out...
I’m pretty confident at this point that this was just a threat, but geesh. It would be very easy to cause maximum damage and casualties if they had targeted the doorways. Praying it wasn’t some sort of a “dry-run”.
I just thank God that everyone is OK, most especially my husband of course.
