These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama's life and message,

Since when were you declared the arbiter of "Obama's life and message?"
Dear me, I thought that you were a priest, not a political activist or an Obama campaign member.

and I am deeply sorry if they offended Sen. Clinton or anyone else who saw them."

Oh bullsh*t. What the hell did you think that those words would do?
Make your victims feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

Worse than being a hypocritical activist priest, who is barred by the IRS from campaigning for a poiltical party or nominee, this rather looks like you are an outright lier

What'd he expect. Looks like Clinton operatives are every where. LOL...

Can anyone imagine if a white Pastor preached hate against Blacks? Yet, this hate preaching against white Americans is allowed to go on without any repercussions whatsoever.

Unfortunately, a lot of men who had no business being priests signed up in the 60's and since. Some have political agendas, some social agendas, some just like having a position of authority.

During Cardinal Bernardin's episcopacy, many unsuitable candidates found their way to Chicago. Once there, they build up a power base, with the support of Bernardin. By the time Bernardin dies, these priests are a power fgorce unto themselves with the full support of the unchanging chancery staff. Cdl. George makes an initial attempt to clean house by importing African and Polish priests, but is quickly stymied. Since then, he has been trying to control the mayhem, but with little success in my opinion. This is not the kind of issue that the Vatican normally gets quickly involved in, at least not in the newspapers. Chicago has had some good priests and has added some good orders (most notably Institute of Christ the King). St. John Cantius is a treasure. Fr. Pfleger is a scandal and an embarrassment. He should not have been "preaching" as part of a Protestant service, he should have been preaching the Gospel, he should not have been donating money to a notorious pro-abort (Obama) and much as I cannot stand Mrs. Clinton, he had no business imputing motives to her.

That included declining a specific request by the Sun-Times for a comment on Obama's decision to leave Trinity church.

Really? Clearly, it's getting too hard to hide the festering hate and racism in that so-called church anymore. Obamamama's going to have to publicly renounce it, along with Wright, Farrakhan, Ayres, Rezko, and his white grandmother. Who's left? Oh yes; the lovely and charming Michelle.

"It's a very difficult situation," he said. "I've received thousands of hate threats."

Words...they're just words...

He’s a “gifted” priest. I.e., a rabble-rouser. A “golden boy,” one who has always had what he wanted—the parish he wanted, etc. When Cardinal George gives him an order, he tells the Cardinal to shove it.

Pfleger is a symptom of the putrefaction in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The wheeler-dealer Cody, the gay Bernardin, the weak George.

It is totally improper for a Catholic priest to be preaching about HIMSELF. The homily is supposed to be on the GOSPEL that is read at Mass.

If you’ve ever seen video of Pfleger at Mass—in a dashiki, dancing around the altar, screaming and carrying on—you’d know he’s not a Catholic. He’s also pro-abortion, needless to say.

This Catholic can only conclude he is mentally unstable. but then, that can probably be said of the pedophile protecting Cardinal Mahoney.

As a white Irish Catholic from the South Side of Chicago, I have some knowledge of Pfleger. He’s unusual, if not unique. Became impressed at an early age with the black firebrand preaching style and adopted it as his own. He’s been at St. Sabina’s for a long time. Had run-ins with Cardinal Cody, Bernardin, and now George. Numerous attempts have been made to bounce him, but he is very popular with his parish, which was dying when he took over; he made it thrive as never before. He has done a lot of good for his neighborhood. But some guys fit well into a particular niche, and don’t gain luster when seen in a larger context.

From NR tonight:

http://chicago.everyblock.com/crime/
Mr Pfleger has left his mark on his home turf with his message of peace and hope. His zip is 60628. Highest number of crimes in the city. 2,290 in the last 11 months. (About 7 a day). The right rev wright has similarly healed the wounds and lifted the spirits of his neighbors in zip 60628. Second highest number of crimes in the city. 2273 in the last 11 months. (Just under 7 a day) Clearly their fire breathing message of hate has led many of their impressionable youths to have no respect for themselves, their neighbors or the law. Nice going guys.
PS the soul saving right rev wrights new home is in Tinley Park. 124 crimes in 2006 (0.3 per day) Sweet!

He's an attention whore of the variety that you can find in almost any walk of life. He has found a way to make himself the center of discussion and at the same time paint himself as a martyr. Unfortunately, although he is a priest, I see very little piety or priestly decorum in anything that he does. He seems to be out for himself and not the glory of God. I don't think that he does anything without first thinking about what kind of press coverage it will bring him. I get the same vibe from him that I get from Sharpton and Jackson.

Obviously this priest overstepped the boundary of civil discourse but when you strip away the obnoxiousness of his delivery isn't the core point of what he was trying to make true? That is Hillary definitely felt entitled to the nomination. After she cleared the playing field of what she thought were serious challengers (Evan Bayh, what's his name from Virginia)she expected only token opposition to the nomination. To lose out to a 46 year old greenhorn African American makes it that much worse.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg: There is the communist who was Obama’s mentor and Obama’s involvement
with ACORN.

Enemies of the republic are enemies regardless if they are in the cloth or not in the cloth. No difference.

In fact, those in the cloth are more dangerous because they are sacrosanct to the unwashed masses and the naive intelligentia because of their cloth.

A cross held by an evil, seditious "priest" helps him keep patriots from his neck just as surely as a cross held by a movie actress keeps a vampire away from her throat.

My bold.

We're going to snuff out John Riggio [gun store owner]

We're going to snuff out legislators that are voting against our gun laws.
Fr. Michael Pfleger

Fortunately no one took him up on it. He later explained he didn't know that snuff out was slang for kill. I believe that, the Father wouldn't lie. And Barry never heard a word of what was going on in Church, he was deep in thought while his co-religionists were whooping it up in support of Rev Wright, and Fr. Pfleger.

ISRA: Chicago Priest Calls for Murder of Gun Shop Owner

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., May 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

Nobody expected Saturday's Operation PUSH protest at Chuck's Gun Shop & Range to be anything other than a circus of the bizarre. However, nobody anticipated that an address by a Chicago priest would include a call for the murder of a suburban gun shop owner and legislators who oppose gun control.

During an address at an anti-gun rally in front of Chuck's, Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina's Church, exhorted the crowd to "drag" shop owner, John Riggio, from his shop "like a rat" and "snuff" him.

Rev. Pfleger went on to tell the crowd that legislators that vote against gun control legislation should be "snuffed" as well. As many know, "snuff" is slang for especially violent murder.

The ISRA has a recording of Pfleger's remarks in MP3 format.

"Certainly Fr. Pfleger has offered Absolution to a murderer or two during his tenure as a priest," commented ISRA Executive Director, Richard Pearson. "That's why it's shocking to hear him actually advocate the murder of a gun shop owner who has never committed a crime in his life. He then compounds the problem by calling for the murder of legislators who disagree with his personal political views -- something I suspect is a felony in this state. Pfleger's comments were disgusting and dangerous. And, I seem to remember that the Fifth Commandment frowns on murdering one's neighbor."

"This week, I'll be penning a letter to the Archbishop, expressing my concerns over Rev. Pfleger's comments," continued Pearson. "I would hope that the Archbishop would reply with words of comfort for Mr. Riggio, his family, state legislators, and all others who were injured by Rev. Pfleger's thoughtless, inflammatory remarks."

The ISRA is the state's leading advocate of safe, lawful, and responsible firearms ownership. Since 1903, the ISRA has represented the interests of over 1.5 million law-abiding firearm Illinois firearm owners.
