I did that trip on a 3 day out of Luke and it was remarkable. Getting to Bryce Canyon from Capitol Reef was an adventure on its own. The overlook onto the “Dirty Devil” was very impressive. They had an example of formation and it was the Smokies. I was surprised.

As much as I disliked the messes I sure was sad to such an ending...I’m a sap!)
It was a lonely road and I had stayed in Blanding the night before. We were back at Luke by 11PM. Whew!

Sure looks smoothe and awful inviting, doesn’t it?
But .... oh .. how .. well ... I ... know. It would
knock me on my butt .. delirious. I remember one
summer afternoon at the beach .. devastating attraction to
Gibsons ... whooo boy. Took just 2 of those killers .. LOL.
Had a pretty light week .. son was off in the islands
getting himself engaged, so just 2 visits to the office
to check on things. Very nice .. hope you find your
time on the sea .. or very near it .. just gazing. So
serene. Make it so .. ;)
