Seems quite self-explanatory to me. What else is there that needs to be known?

I suppose I could add that they are two, young, childish hotheads who hold grudges for a minor incident that happened over two years ago. That’s why I didn’t attend two years ago. I figured I’d give it a try last year and I could still sense the “friction”.

The real reason is that I simply wouldn’t want to be the reason for rain on everyone else’s parade if there would be any kind of “incident”. When I was growing up my dad looked for reasons to break up picnics, dinners, parties, etc. I vowed I would never be the catalyst for anything like that.
