Are you ready for Vice President Sarah Palin?

Via the Standard, Wizbang’s got a hot tip that the head of McCain’s VP search team is on the ground in Juneau. If it’s true, though, then why not advertise that fact? It’d kick up some buzz … although maybe that’s the problem. If they finally end up going with some more predictable choice, like Ridge or Mitt, it’ll feel like a letdown.

“He isn’t going to pick Lieberman or someone who is more moderate than him.”

how can someone or something be “more” moderate?

She just had her fourth child and it is a Down's Syndrome child whom she and her husband chose NOT to abort.

Two of her children are 18 ad 17. Her newest son (Trig) has Downs. In her statement she said...

"Trig is beautiful and already adored by us," the statement read. "We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed."

I'd say she's the strong woman Hillary only wished she was.

DON'T do it, Sarah! Association with McCain will taint you forever. Save yourself for 2012, and let McCain go under on his own -- perhaps taking down some hapless RINO VP candidate with him.

This choice would destroy the leftist media - Obama strategy. There game plan is to chant its the party of old rich men .
This choice would shut them up . Second, if they say she is inexperienced then the two year senator (who does not even qualify for a military security clearance) ad commander and chief would be brought up to talk about. Just pick her.

Someone on another post said she was a lackluster speaker and campaigner.

After the "shrill" Hillary and Michelle "Aunt Esther" Obama for the last year; lacluster would be a welcome change.

And to the point... she has executive experience.

All the others are in a professional debate society

An Obama/Richardson ticket would almost be unbeatable. Richardson would bring the Anti-Obama Hispanic vote into the fold for the Dems. So, with 90% of the Black vote, about 75% of the Hispanic vote and 100% of the Looney-left vote.......what can I say? It’s a Dem victory in November

Can you say: “President Obama”?

Did you read ALL of what I wrote....?

I did NOT say let's BE Libs...

I said (IF you got my meaning..).. take our successes where we can..(like tug of war)... hold them... and go for more...

THIS is how Libs and Leftists succeed at OUR expense..

Do Conservatives NOT get this yet? What about this do you disagree with?

“No. How about someone who is more like George Patton”

You’re durned right, my friend.

Isn’t it amazing - in this time when I daresay that the majority of conservatives would rate national security - and, along with it, the ongoing war - the most important issue facing the nation today, that so many of them are willing to accept a young woman with absolutely NO foreign policy experience (or much experience, PERIOD) to be one heartbeat away from a heart that is 70+ years old and on the shaky side?

Just because “she’s a woman”, and is “against abortion”?
Just because it would look fashionable to have a female on the ticket?

Pray tell, how does that qualify her to be a wartime vice president who stands a very good chance of having to assume the role of the presidency?

Do you have faith in Ms. Palin to do the right thing if Iran secures nuclear weapons and lobs one or two into Israel?

Frankly, I don’t.

There have been precious few women throughout all history capable of leading a nation during wartime, and Ms. Palin IS NOT one of them - she has done NOTHING to show that she has the stuff to lead the nation against the Islamic threat.

Being pregnant, finding out that the child she’s carrying might have Down’s Syndrome, then going through with the pregnancy has no relevance at all to whatever qualifications she might have to lead the nation. NONE AT ALL.

Ms. Palin may yet prove herself as governor, after a term or two. But she isn’t ready for the second spot yet.

And just to be fair, neither is Bobby Jindal (sp?), a greenhorn governor who has less experience than B. Hussein Obama.

Yet fools are pushing his name, as well.

Yes, we need a conservative in the second spot. Whoever it is, must be someone with a proven track record - those Carolina governors come to mind. But no smiley-faced greenhorns! And no women, not in a time of conflict.

- John
