ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) - Former White House press secretary Tony Snow, diagnosed with cancer three years ago, canceled a speaking appearance at Ohio's Ashland University because of an unspecified illness, the university announced Wednesday.

I was just thinking about him this morning. I was wondering if he was okay because I had not heard anything about him in a long time. He is one of the good ones. May God have mercy on him and let him survive this challenge.

Freepers make me laugh so hard and I get a big kick out of giving others a chuckle. So it always meant a lot on the live thread when Tony would take the time during his show to give us an “LOL” (like when I said we were going to fight the Laura Ingram fans by the bike racks after the show) or chat about old timey Saturday Night Live with us. I still get silly giggly when I think about the time he said my screen name on the air. LOL I’m easily entertained.
Tony is “good people” and I feel blessed to know him, even if only in a virtual way.

Praying Tony that this situation is workable.. God has helped you overcome so much & he will not desert you now.
Even smaller things like the flu etc are more difficult after chemo.. it does a number on the immune system.. BUT, God is better than your immune system & you have a lot of friends/family/fans at the throne of Grace & Mercy on your behalf

You are truly a class act. My prayers for Peace, from the Prince of Peace and healing from the Great Physician. My heart goes out to you Tony. Even though you don’t know me at all, rest assured that you have had a tremendous impact on so many people. So many that you may never know.

Prayers for a good man.
First, I will pray that Tony is only ‘sick’ and not ‘ill’. I pray that there is nothing serious and that he is with us and his family for another 50 years.
Second, I’m sure the incredibly successful tenure of Tony Snow made the defection of Scott McClellan seem ‘logical’ in his tiny mind. Seeing how poorly he was ‘loved’ by the media and then seeing Tony actually getting respect from the wolves must have been maddening. Of course, it was due to the incompetence of Scott and not some change in the press corps.
