Happy weekend, Mayor...hope you get to relax and enjoy some of it in good health, and minimal coughing.
*Hugs*
It's the Friday before Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer...
For many folks it means getting out the BBQ grill and having family and friends over for a cookout. Many of the men and women serving in our miltary will not get enjoy this simple luxury...
For these folks it means getting up at daybreak...
And working till all hours of the nite...
No picincs in the counrtyside for a little relaxation...
Many of the swimming pools open this weekend as well but not all off our servicefolks will get an oppurtunity to avail themselves of this simple pleasure...
But mostly this is a weekend that we should remember that not all of those men and women who went off to serve there country came back. As the ol saying goes "All gave some, Some gave all"...
It's going to be a great weekend out there hope everybody has a good one and come Monday take a few minutes to remember those that paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. Like I need to tell folks here about that, eh!
Personal note there will be no Saturday Sortie tomorrow as Mrs alfa6 and I will be traveling to St. Louis. I have a niece who is getting married and figured I better show up:-) Y'all take care now and we will be back next weekend the good Lord willin and if the criks don't rise up.
Regards
alfa6 ;>}
