Hillary Clinton is still in the presidential race, she said today, because "historically, it makes no sense" to quit, and added that, "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June," making an odd comparison between the dead candidate and Barack Obama.
"People have been trying to push me out since Iowa," she said to the Argus Leader's editorial board.

Beside Rush, I believe the biggest offender has been Foxnews with Hannity dutifully reporting the dirt spoonfed to him by Sydney Blumenthal.
Oh that's too funny. It completely misses the point that the biggest obstacle we have in 2008 is the GOP leftist candidate. We're the problem folks. If we had a strong conservative who could address the issues we'd be sitting pretty after this Democrat fiasco.
I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt but this ISN'T THE FIRST TIME she made the statement and to say it was because Ted Kennedy was on her mind is another Bosnia lie. Please note she said the following on March 6th, long before Ted Kennedy's diagnosis"
LOL
It is laughable all the Hildybots here on FR that claim the media hates this witch. The press covers for her just like for Obama. This is a great example, the potentially biggest mistake of the campaign, and the media will bury it.
Like you said, if a Republican said this, we'd get no relief from it for weeks. The media would blare it seven times an hour, and the speaker would be banished to political hades. They still love the Clintons. The Clintons are the most wicked and evil pair ever foisted on this country. And they have blood all over their hands.

The same kind of terrorists who support Obama did this:

Never apologize for them.
Never appease them.
Never forget.
""My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing calls to drop out."
Okay, maybe I'm missing something, but by referring to both Bill and Bobby campaigning into June wasn't she trying to make the point that there is precedence for campaigns going on that long? That it wasn't necessarily unusual? That's how I interpreted it based on her preceding comments about people trying to get her to drop out since Iowa.
Well after all, it’s not like she misspelled “potato” or something.
Oh well.
That ‘slow news day’ malarkey goes right out the window.
That is a terrible thing to do, to speak so lightly of such a tragedy. For her information, the Dems drafted Hubert Humphrey to run in 1968. They didn't turn to Eugene McCarthy, who was in second place behind Kennedy at the time of his death.
I was five miles from where RFK was killed on June 6th, 1968. We didn't tell my mother at first, because we thought she would miscarry my brother.
This is one of the most vile political statements I've ever heard, and I'm old enough to have heard a lot of them. This is a huge mistake on the part of this wicked woman, and she can't blame old Bill for this one.
Obama better watch out! Code pink is gonna get him;-)
"Operation Chaos" has already worked spectacularly well. A lot of people simply don't get it -- it's not to favor Hillary in the race, it's to keep the race going.
A few months ago, Hillary looked about ready to give up, and if she'd done that, the MSM would have had Obama halfway to sainthood by now, the Democrat Party would have had plenty of time to coalesce around its candidate, and all would be sweetness and light.
It was only by keeping the race going via the Hillary wins that we have had all the controversies, gaffes, misstatements and, of course, pure entertainment we've been afforded the past few months. Without it there might have been no Rev. Wright, no "57 states," no flag lapel pin, etc. The media would have painted Obama with such a gleaming gold that no imperfections would be visible.
The other aim was to have Hillary wound Obama a bit. If she wasn't around to do it, who was going to? Certainly not McCain, who will likely be branded by the press as "racist" any time he criticizes Obama.
Rush knew what he was doing when he launched this operation.
Best of show: "Nice campaign you have here, boy, 'd be a shame if anything happened to it."
Perfectly understandable comment. What she was thinking was: “Hey it could happen to anybody.”
Sirhan Sirhan was a middle eastern type and member of that religion of Peace crowd, That certainly won't happen under any circumstances with Sir Hussein Obama
FWIW, I didn't think what you said was worthy of ridicule or criticism. These are disturbing times we are living in.
Except she was wrong in Bill's case as his primary race was effectively over in MARCH when Tsongas abandon his campaign. There were other references she could have made but having made the same statement back in March (when Ted Kennedy was not on her mind) makes one pause.
