Election '08: Three possible running mates will visit John McCain's Arizona home this weekend. Each one, if required to become president, would be better for America than the Democratic contenders.
McCain could, without fear of exaggerating, say that his 36-year-old running mate has more executive experience than Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton combined.
Former Gov. Mitt Romney: At Bain Capital, Romney fixed distressed firms, saving and generating thousands of jobs in the process. He turned the scandal-ridden 2002 Utah Winter Olympics into possibly the most successful Winter Games ever. As Massachusetts governor, Romney battled lawmakers to enact a bill that shielded $275 million of private investment from capital gains taxes.
A Vice President Romney would be an asset to a McCain administration. He's a successful businessman who personifies competence and understands, as he often put it during his own campaign, that "Washington is fundamentally broken."

Okay, Christian bigots, attack me!
Tommy Thompson (WI Ex-Governor) and McCain would be a good fit.
A realistic choice! I wanna win a trillion dollars but it is not realistic.
Oh, wait, I'm not a Christian bigot, nor am I attacking you. Sorry. Gave it a try.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist
I’m in Florida and I can say that while he may fit McCain like a glove, he would be terrible for America.
No way.
Mitt Romney was my choice for President. I will definitely vote for McCain if he chooses Romney as his running mate
I can accept either Bobby Jindal or Mitt Romney. Some Freepers need to get real.
I never count Tommy out. ;)
I’m with you. Too much is at stake people. Think, the Big Picture.
We have Mac because of the MSM. Maybe, just maybe, he really is the guy - For Such a Time As This.
I’m keeping the faith...and that means that I will, w/o question, support the most (most, most, can’t highlight due to computer dumbness) conservative candidate.
I like Bobby
Christian bigot!!!!!!!!
:-)
Why would you feel that Christians (bigots or otherwise) would attack you? Im a Christian, hopefully not a bigot, and I would welcome Mitt as a VP. ;-)
Oh dear. Okay, if it’s going to be Jindal, he’s got to do something about his hair.
Lieberman will be the pick..................
“Why would you feel that Christians (bigots or otherwise) would attack you? Im a Christian, hopefully not a bigot, and I would welcome Mitt as a VP. ;-)”
Most wouldn’t agree. After all DOBSON told them to vote for the lying Huckster, AFTER Mitt withdrew.
I saw Beckel dance around Crist this afternoon, really funny, “I don’t know much about him, but he really needs to be vetted”.......lolol they know but aren’t talking about it.
How do you arrive at the conclusion that Huckabee "is not in the running"? I understand that he was invited to the McCain gathering but had a prior commitment.
Don't misunderstand; I definitely don't want Senator McCain to tap Huckabee. My preference as of now is another non-attendee, Tim Pawlenty. Mitt Romney would be fine, too. It rather keep Bobby Jindal in reserve for 2016.
But mostly, I am amused by all the people who proclaim "I won't vote for McCain if he runs with Xxxx." Horsefeathers. With Barack Obama on the other side of the ballot, I'd vote for McCain if he chose the Devil himself as his running mate.
