I would be willing to bet that he picks Joe Liebermann. Libermann has been following McAmnesty at every event.
McAmnesty has already given us the middle finger on immigration and went pandering to La Raza last week. I wouldn't doubt he'd pick Liebermann as VP candidate.

I’m Shocked. No Mel Martinez as his tag team partner?

Yep, he will need Lieberman to whisper answers to him. With Crist, it would be a team of dumb and dumber. Though maybe this meeting isn't about VP. No matter whom he picks, people do not vote for VP. For me, it would make no difference whom he picks. While I might consider voting for him if he picks Ann Coulter, that will never happen.

I wouldn't doubt he'd pick Liebermann as VP candidate. I don't agree with Lieberman politically, but I think he would add integrity to a McCain ticket.

I would be willing to bet that he picks Joe Liebermann. I appreciate Liebermann's integrity of rejecting the leftist extremism of his party and support of McCain, but we already have one independent/democrat on the ticket so why would we need another one as the VP!

I wonder what happened to all the freepers who gloated that they sent ol' Joe money in the last election, volunteered their time to campaign for him, and pulled the lever for "let every vote count except overseas millitary ballots" Joe, simply because he "supports the war" and "we cannot let Ned Lamont win" (although they were fine with not lifting a finger while Jim Talent, Conrad Burns, and George Allen lost)
Since they were so "pleased" that LIEberman's left-wing butt was re-elected, I'm sure they'd just love having our "patriotic ally" Joe Lieberman a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

If Lieberman ain't in the list it's just a smoke show. Your dead on the money. McCain hasn't made one halfas#ed move towards the conservatives he supposedly needs to win the election so whats the strategy? There are a lot more independents and blue dog democrats than there are conservatives and even if he was to try he's not going to make huge inroads into the conservative base of the Republican party that once was. He may be a lot of things, maverick, hot head, adulterer and gold digger come to mind but he's not stupid he has a workable strategy and anything you see that is not working in the framework of that strategy is a charade pure and simple.
