“The Bush people”, he says, “have virtually got rid of Magna Carta and habeas corpus. In a normal republic I would probably have raised an army and overthrown them. It will take a hundred years to put it all back.”

I believe there will be riots regardless if Obama wins or loses. Maybe I am not being fair, but it seems anytime that “community” decides to “make noise” it is violent. Either in celebration of beating “the man” or losing to him. Doesn’t matter. It is an excuse to loot, vandalize and just create mayhem. I am planning on being prepared.
The liberals would never allow that, but I liked the images it invoked.

I think there will be riots of Obama does not get the nomination. Maybe America needs them? I am one who does believe that America needs a new converation about race: That conversation needs to be one in which people are told that they can no longer rely on their race or colour of their skin to get them favourable treatment nor can they play the victim card. It ;s a converation where Amercia has the opportunity to reinforce conservative values of merit and colour blindness.

I fear that the authorities will see me defending myself.
I think alot of us “whiteys” react to certain other races because they are pushy or aggressive about their race. They want to emphasize they are different by their actions.
I think a lot of us might be more color-blind if this was not the case.
It is hard to take someone who wears the typical ‘hiphop/gangsta’ fashions seriously. I know clothes don’t make a good character but people who dress like that really don’t get any trust points right out of the gate hehehe.
I am not sure what my point is here. Maybe my point is color blindness cannot happen unless certain races make some effort to convince us they have a similar culture. The liberal’s response to this would be ‘all cultures are equal’. That is a dangerous lie.
I wonder what Algore Vidal would say about John Fraude Kerry's "war hero" status. At least McCain didn't shoot himself in the ass and then go running to his commander demanding a purple heart.
I knew Vidal's name but not much about him. An Amazon search of his other books told me everything I wanted to know. No thank you.

Whatever. When MLK was assassinated, groups of blacks rioted in the place where I lived as a child. Our neighborhood parents organized an armed militia and shot at any groups of blacks who approached or drove by our neighborhood. Probably saved us from being looted or worse.
I imagine things won't be much different if they try this crap, except that the casualties will be much higher for the potential looters.

They won't be. The nation was much tougher in 68/69 than now. Basically every police chief in any major city today is either black himself or a very PC white or latino.
At the risk of sounding alarmist you apparently in Minneapolis have no clue what it is like to live in towns with substantial black populations. Minneapolis especially the West to SW is damned nice.
They are already attacking us (whites) when given the opportuinity. This would just give them the excuse.
Just look at crime stats or ask any of us what it's like to be in their hoods at the wrong time.
And btw....whites were not just “beat up” in all the previous black riots...they have been dragged from their cars and killed and even in one case in the McDuffie riot, one hapless white motorist who went north of the Miami river was beheaded.
Angry urban blacks (and some other groups) think whites have lost their will.
And looking around at my fellow cracker brethren, I can't say I can blame blacks for thinking whites are weak...we are.
