Ron Paul Hopes to Crash McCain's Party
ABC News ^ | 5/13/08 | Marcus Barum

Sen. John McCain, taking a victory lap as the presumptive Republican nominee, happily poked fun at his only remaining opponent.

Asked during an appearance on "The Daily Show" last week which of the two Democratic nominees he preferred to run against in the general election, McCain quipped, "Ron Paul."

But Paul might get the last laugh during McCain's coronation at the party's convention in early September.

McCain's nomination may be certain, but he finds himself pressured by different wings of the conservative movement -- from the libertarians and the anti-war activists, to social conservatives and evangelical voters.

“I am choosing to look at the forest in this election, and not having tunnel vision regarding just one tree. And you?”

I will vote for Juan McAmnesty when and if he picks a solid, rock-ribbed, no BS CONSERVATIVE VP. Since there is ZERO liklihood of that happening (also per McCamnestys’ own words) I suppose I will vote third party for POTUS.

While I do not like Kennedy and other liberals like him, I also am a realist and understand that, in politics, one must from time to time work with the opposition instead of against them.

So why do so many McCain people wail about Barr working with the ACLU?

You will have to ask a “McCain People” to get that answer. As stated time and time again, McCain is not my first choice (or 2nd, 3rd, 4th, . . . 10th). I am choosing to vote for McCain because of the remaining candidates he’s the one I believe is the most qualified for POTUS.

No, really. I am disagreeing with your view of the man. I see him differently than do you.

“No, really. I am disagreeing with your view of the man. I see him differently than do you.”

So you see him as a trustworthy, hard-nosed conservative worthy of the Presidency.

The point I was making was that when he voted AGAINST the tax cuts, he used the lingo of the left. You can argue all that you want about what you think he might have mean’t....but we’ve got his own words. Doing what he does best. Throwing conservatives under the BS Express.

Because those telling us McCain supporters that we're idiots for supporting a socialist who's no different from Obama or Hillary hold up an actual ACLU EMPLOYEE as the paragon we should vote for.

Hello, Kettle? This is pot - you're black.

You've just placed words in my mouth that I did not say. I am voting for McCain because of the remaining candidates I find him to be the most qualified. That does not mean I view him as a hard-nosed conservative. Trustworthy I'll have to wait to see if he wins the general election.

“You’ve just placed words in my mouth that I did not say.”

My apologies, I did not mean to do this. When you said that you see him differently than I do, I knee-jerked and thought you see him as the opposite of how I see him, thus my errant post to you.

Won’t happen again.

But we don’t have to wait. We have his record.

“Write in, 3rd Party, don't vote. Any of those 3 choices are imminently better than voting for a RATpublican. Blackbird. “

The age old dilemma, sit out, or hold your nose and vote the lesser of the two evils.

Sitting out is effectively a vote for Obama in this case.

Are you responding to my post #241? It doesn't make sense.

The principle of voting against tax cuts until spending cuts are passed, means that you will NEVER vote for tax cuts. So, with your way of politicians "standing on principle" (actually you support liberalism not me) by refusing to support tax cuts is insane.

“Can you point to any difference between David Souter and Ruth Ginsberg?”

I believe Ginsberg is actually taller. Ah, but that's not the point, the point is the difference between Ginsberg and Thomas.

Barack Obama voted against John Roberts for crying out loud, even Leahey didn't do that!

“No, moron.”

This coming from YOU? Not many mirrors up in Canada are there?

‘I’m saying they’ll be no difference. They both hate conservatives. Your bridge obviously doesn’t reach logic or reasoning.”

Writing that there is no difference between John McCain and that anti-american socialist nightmare does violence to objective reality.

Let me type slower.

I was talking strictly about #1. Judges and what I think McCain will nominate - which will be no different than Obama. No conservatives allowed. Am I typing backwards or something - do you need a mirror or one of your wonderful bridges to decode the obvious?

But since you brought up the “anti-american socialist nightmare,” let me just say that other than McCain being a proud American hawk, there is microscopical differences between them on most political issues. Obama has no conservative DNA, McCain has some in his pinky fingernail.

1. His appointments to the courts will be better than Obama's

His appointments will never be confirmed by the Democrat controlled senate and the respective RINO's....

2. He will not raise taxes as Obama will do.

Don't be so sure of that, he is already on record as opposing the last tax cuts by Bush.....

3. He will not abandon the mission in our war against terrorists

That is the only point you and I agree. However, it would not surprise me that even the Great McCain would cave in to the Democrats demand for withdrawal........

4. He is committed to reducing spending and eliminating earmarks

No he's not, he is already on record as supporting the bogus Global Warming hoax which is going to result in unlimited restrictions and increased regulations imposed on existing manufacturing companies in this country which in essence is translated as "higher taxes".

Furthermore, he is on record as voting against the drilling in ANWR......

Following his speech today, I have decided that McCain will definitely not get my vote in November.........

We must support John McCain because, if we don't, an anti-American international socialist will become President of the United States.

Never happen considering the Democrats have a lock on their three nominees: Clinton, Obama and McCain.............
