Ron Paul Hopes to Crash McCain's Party

Sen. John McCain, taking a victory lap as the presumptive Republican nominee, happily poked fun at his only remaining opponent.

Asked during an appearance on "The Daily Show" last week which of the two Democratic nominees he preferred to run against in the general election, McCain quipped, "Ron Paul."

But Paul might get the last laugh during McCain's coronation at the party's convention in early September.

McCain's nomination may be certain, but he finds himself pressured by different wings of the conservative movement -- from the libertarians and the anti-war activists, to social conservatives and evangelical voters.

No I should not. I will vote for McCain who will continue the WOT with honor and who will reduce income taxes and spending.

He can continue nothing in honor, because he is without honor. The very first reason to withhold my vote is due to his ignoble character.

He is running as an independent with the endorsemet of the American Independent Party.

I don't think McCain has any Black Panther or Weathermen affiliations.
There is a huge difference between the two.

Your choices this year are simple; McCain or Obama. A vote not cast for McCain is a vote for Obama.

We need to out working for McCain this year, but out working to get a real conservative for the next go around.

Oh, you mean we want the RNC to reform the primary process so that Democrats don't dominate it? So that a few big eastern states that haven't cast their electoral votes for a Republican since the 1950s don't choose the nominee like this year? GREAT! Please get back to us all when you get that "fixed".

Face it Mel Martinez and the other pseudo-conservative RNC leaders got exactly the process they wanted, which yeilded the perfect candidate.

I would only observe that I thought Ford was a lousy president and I didn't vote for him but instead I was voting against Carter.

I feel pretty certain that as bad as Ford might have been there was no way he could have been worse than Carter.

I've held my nose pretty much every election in my life excepting two.

So yeah, I'll punch the ticket for McCain just like I did for every stinker before and after Reagan. Sometimes, no, most times you have to choose the one you don't trust to do the right thing vs. the one you KNOW won't do the right thing.

For what it's worth.

Voting simply out of selfish personal interest instead of principle is childish and wrong.

I’m not a Ron Paul fan, but I’m not voting for McCain, either. I can’t. We are in a war for private property rights in my part of Washington State. The fascists liberals are using environmental excuses to dictate private property use, including trying to stop all animal farming. One man told me that the county inspector told him that he should get rid of his cows and raise soy. They are also trying to turn over all the water rights in the state to the Indians and put meters on private wells.

More 'friends like these' questions. More than just the pose, I would still love to know how and from whom Don Black and his psyco son got an invitation to the 'Value Voter's Debate' where this picture was taken. Each campaign was givin a limted number of tickets and the media was also limited based on the small size of the venue. This was not an event Black could have just walked into.
