Did you reboot? If you made temporary changes that should clear it up. Also, if your mouse has a wheel in the middle, try holding the Control key down and moving the wheel. For my computer, I can change the sizes doing that.

I rebooted and the magnified view on my desktop is still there. All I was doing was typing and posting using the mouse pad when this view changed on me. So I installed a mouse and did that scrolling thing and it only increases/decreases the text size. There is something else that changes the overall view size (90%...100%...etc.) and I can't find it on this laptop.
