Howard Dean appeared on the Daily Show and said definitively that the Michigan and Florida delegations will be seated. (H/t Scott Jacobs.) The video is here.
Representative quotes:
STEWART: If I were designing a plan to submarine your chances, and again, you dont have to follow my advice here, I would take the state that was, lets say crucial to the Republican election chances lets, lets call it Florida and I would find a way to insult them. Maybe not seat them at the convention, that sort of thing. Then I would pick a Rust Belt state, maybe a Michigan, and say to them the same. Now youve got two states that are angry with you. Do you think that would be a good way?
DEAN: Well, were actually going to seat them at the convention.
STEWART: What?! This is news! Are you really going to do that?
DEAN: Were going to find a way to seat them at the convention.
START: Are you really going to?
DEAN: Yeah.
STEWART: How how can you do that when their results dont count?
DEAN: Well, its a little hard, but were gonna do it.
. . . .
Its gonna be quite a juggling act, but were gonna do it. You cannot have a Democratic convention without Florida and Michigan.
Stewart also asked Dean why Michigan and Florida dont have to follow the rules. Dean replied: They do. Thats why they lost their delegates.
I dont get it either.
Finally, Dean argued that the Democrats system is still more democratic than the [system used by the] Republicans you know, the system where the voters choose all the delegates. Stewart let him get away with that one.
Watch it all, if you can stand it.
That looks like “Wild Bill something” up there, lol.

Ha!
What a dolt. What happened to his argument about rules, party laws, etc.
Geez, what a maroon, have a fun convention Howie.
Step 1: Supers and delegates for other states determine who wins the nomination. FL and MI delegates play no part in this.
Step 2: Other candidate conceeds, pledges all her/his delegates to the winner, including those from the disputed states.
Step 3: Convention credential day comes and all states including FL and MI are seated.
How hard is that to understand.
He's been pretty WILD for a while, methinks!
:)
ROTFLMPO...
The price of popcorn rises.
These blokes are setting up to have the primaries for the 2012 election sometime next year with the competition the states will be having if they seat FL & MI...
The whole PROBLEM this year is BECAUSE of the “early primary” competition resulting in dumb candidates for being selected!
Maroons!
What is it, the DNC version of Operation Chaos? They’ve been down in the lab since years before the MI and FL primaries, that’s for sure.
“What is wrong with people here who think a marxist in the White House is better than McCain. Hold your nose and pull the lever.”
My sentiments, exactly. The thing I like about McCain is that his sense of humor will not go over well with the media should he turn it their way. I think he’s going to enjoy having the ability to make them “hit the dirt” when he starts in on them.
Fixed it
Sweet Corn is 1% of the corn harvest.
Popcorn is 2$ of the corn harvest.
The US produces 40% of the world’s corn harvest. Most of which is in 12 states. Drilling in the football field of ANWR would of course solve the ‘corn problem’!!!
Fixed it
sigh.
Everyone wants to include the kleenex in my analogy, not the doormat. The doormat is the one that is willingly walked all over and is there when the dirt needs to be wiped off. They know where he's been, regardless they still let themselves be used to make him look more respectable.
Carlita is a doormat, Hillary is a doormat, Silda is a doormat, and Jon Stewart has clearly demonstrated himself to be a doormat for the Dems.
Lol, yeah I have that picture too. They look like typical hippies there.
.
democrats in Congress - Obama leading the way - say “no 18¢/gallon federal gas tax cut” for Americans....
While they drive leased luxury vehicles filled with gasline - all paid for by the US taxpayers -
[D-NY] - Charlie Rangel: Cadillac!
“My constituents expect me to....”
No hybrid for Red Rangel!
“The probleIt wont backfire. Operation Chaos does not change anything. It only exposes the problem. The Republican candidate was chosen by the media foisted in high speed fashion. This is the same thing only in slow motion.’
So you are saying that operation chaos is intended to expose the problem with the primary system? I understand that Democratic Operatives have been messing with the Republican Primary System for a few years. Have you been paying attention? It seems that this monkey business has been occuring ever since the Clinton’s decided to go to Washington, I think it is the direct result of their operation and also their way of doing business. I agree with your comment that the Republican Candidate was chosen in high speed fashion thanks to this monkey business. It was part of the Clinton Machine. So why should Operation Chaos benifit Hillary when she and her operatives are the reason for this? By the way, when Obama talks about Change, I personally believe that he is against Clinton Dirty Politics. He is a liberal but he is not a snake and I think he disapproves of the Clinton Style Corruption. I think that is partly what he is talking about when he speaks of change. He wouldn’t be the first liberal to disapprove of the Clinton Corruption. I really think Rush is deluded with operation chaos because he is ignoring the fact that the Clinton Operation is responsible for the primary mess to begin with. If he recognize this he would never suggest that Hillary benefit from the mess by telling people to vote for her in the primaries. The Clinton Machine is so dirty, not only will they try very hard to steal the nomination from Obama, but they will also win the Presidency. Is that what people want? Because that is what they are going to get. I don’t care what people’s motivation is in this instance, because the result will still be the same, Hillary will be elected and Republican will have put her there.

PS: This was quite a surprise - I thought Florida and Michigan were done for regarding getting their delegates seated.
