"I hope Fred becomes McCain’s VP."

Not likely. Thompson is too conservative and , at this point, doesn't buy into global warming.

The fact that their combined age is 137 doesn’t help too much either.

“Not likely. Thompson is too conservative”.

JSM has to choose a VP who’s more conservative, so, no such thing as “too conservative”. There always has to be a balance of yin/yang on a winning ticket. But THIS one will be interesting with a lot riding on who his Veep choice is, mostly due to his age, so the morbid public will be scrutinizing his VP choice with an eye toward that person becoming president prematurely.

But apparently he's not so principled that he will steer completely clear of the third Democrat in the race.  sigh

It is not only “not likely”, Fred has stated that he would not be anyone’s VP. In my opinion Fred’s so called endorsement of McCain was not really an endorsement. Fred did not say “I endorse” in his statement. He only stated that it was time for Republicans to join ranks and support the Republican nominee. He even stated during his recent interview with Sean that he supports McCain against the Democrat nominee (Whomever that might be) even though he has differences with McCain. Fred does agrees with McCain on the war on terror, limited government spending and tax cuts.
