Pretty much sums up the Leftist view of "fairness":
"Okay, you campaigned in MI, I didn't. You spent money in MI, I didn't. You were on the ballot, I wasn't. You won the primary, I didn't. But, hey, let's split the votes right down the middle -- it's only fair."
Michigan is so screwed up because of “top” Demorats.
Morons on the east side either in gangs or the Union keep voting for the idiots.
If they want to really be seated, they should be split evenly or not seated at all.
Those states started their own problems and should not be awarded more power for mischief for breaking the rules as I see it.
I think Dean and the candidates did the right thing to not seat them and in all honesty they should still not seat them or seat them in a way that they have no effect on the vote.
If they exclude Michigan and Florida, we should agitate them and Hillary's supporters. If they include Michigan and Florida, we should agitate other states voters who obeyed the rules and now get diluted and Obama's supporters. If they work out a compromise, we should agitate everyone about what they lost in the compromise...

From Craig Crawford in CQ Politics:
The mandatory penalties set forth by the Democratic National Committees delegate selection rules call for outlaw states like Florida and Michigan to only lose half of their delegates to the national convention. And yet the DNC went beyond its own rules to add further penalties, stripping those states of all delegates.
The DNC rules also prohibited public appearances and electronic advertising before the polls closed by candidates in states that had jumped the approved primary calendar. Barack Obama made a public appearance in Florida in September 2007, talking to reporters after a fundraiser. His campaign also bought television ads on cable news outlets that ran throughout Florida before its renegade primary.
Strictly speaking, if the DNC rules were tightly construed in this case, Hillary Rodham Clinton would receive half of the Florida delegates she won and Obama would receive none -- the penalty for violating the campaign ban.
Why do Dems even bother to vote? Super Delegates are disenfranchise THWY appointees( The Hel* With you)

Michigan Democrats working to get the state's delegates seated at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday suggested splitting them 69-59... Clinton has argued that she should get 73 delegates based on the results of the Jan. 15 primary, which she won -- 18 more than Obama. Obama, who removed his name from the ballot, wants the 128 pledged delegates split evenly, 64-64. The compromise, suggested Tuesday in a letter to Michigan Democratic Chairman Mark Brewer, fell halfway between the two proposals.First of all, it's not a "compromise", it's a "nuanced" proposal. Second, the fact that the party previously used some affirmative action -styled method to allocate delegates proportionately in all the other primaries doesn't mean the DNC has abandoned rules, it merely means it never had any in the first place. Third, Obama wasn't on the ballot, so the fact that he's getting any at all suggests that the DNC is trying its best to accommodate Obama in the face of the fact that it's going to seat *ANY* delegates from Michigan despite having stripped all the delegates over a change of date. Fourth, the date change for the primary was spearheaded by Senator Carl Levin, who wanted to do this years ago.

:’) When I eat popcorn, I prefer the kettle variety.
Sounds like the Clintons screwed up this negotation. She should have started from a position of 128-0, so the half-way compromise puts her even better off!

Splitting the delagates is a great idea! Horizontally or vertically?
The Rat delegates from Michigan should be shipped one-way to North Korea.
