For the life of me I can’t figure out McCain...

To date he has harshly criticized anyone who dares to state Obama’s middle name, jumped all over the North Carolina Republican Party for running ads that merely replayed the Reverend Wright’s sermons, and just yesterday attacked the President for his handling of Katrina while giving Nagin and Landrieux and Bianco a virtual free pass. Is he running as a Democrat? Regardless whether it’s Clinton or Hussein Obama that gets the nomination, he should be a shoe-in (as they’re both avowed socialists), but he’s showing signs that he is going to work hard to blow it.

...if Republicans line up to support this backstabbing RINO jerk, the message that the RINO infested Republican Party beltway establishment will receive is that the Republican voter base is so desperate, defeatist, and despirited that it will accept a big government liberal phony in conservative clothing no different from a liberal Democrat instead of bonafide genuine conservatives who pursue a limited, small government, Constitutional originalist, free market agenda. Furthermore, by supporting a flagrant opponent of conservatives and conservatism, not only will more RINO frauds be put forth for political office, conservatives will be admitting that conservatism itself is worthless and invalid, and future Republican politicians would be right in mocking and condemning it...

Good points.

First: Name calling turns most readers off even if we agree 100% !

Second: You could of just said that if the Hildabeast gets elected the GOP will have another landslide in 2010 like they did in 1994 because the country will be tired of her hippie liberalism.

Third: Just say that McCain has sided with the liberals on all the big issues except Iraq and Abortion so what would stop him from siding with them if he were elected President ?

This would piss most of us off and we'd stay home in 2010 and the hippies would get 65 senate seats !

NO WAY could I ever vote for Hillary, no matter how bad lord McCain is.... or would be for this nation.

No lessons will be taught to the RINO’s by making Hillary Queen.

2 reasons why I vote for McStain:

1) The risk of losing the Supreme Court is too great and we must cross our fingers and pray McCain doesn't botch the nominations.

2) I cannot support anyone not fully committed to achieving the goals for which our warriors have sacrificed their lives.

This is not about settling scores, this about real life and death stuff.

Grow up people.

I left the Republican party this week. Good riddance. I won’t vote for either beast.

How does everyone feel about Supreme Court Justice William Jefferson Clinton? How about Sidney Blumenthal or James Carville? Anita Hill, anyone? After all, with a Democrat in power, the tired leftist Justices will feel free to step down, which should free up at least two, if not three, of the positions. Will Albright and Reno be called back to D.C.? It’s not just the top spot, but also all those other spots that we’d be handing over to the Clintons and for the third time.

And then there are the troops. We’ve seen Hillary’s treatment of Gen. Petraeus, and she’s only a junior senator now. Just think what she’ll do to the military when she’s CiC. They absolutely don’t deserve that gamble on a very unsure thing.

If you’ve got to vote for Hillary in order to defend conservatism, then you might as well drink your hemlock now. It’s sort of like supporting Stalin because you don’t like Hitler.

Ah yes teach those rotten ole RINOS a lesson by voting for Hillary.

If you are an ice cream maker and the public doesn’t buy the flavor you are making, you start making the flavors your competitor makes that are selling.

So if Hillary becomes President because of Conservative support, then Republican candidates will try to be like Hillary.

So if you want all future Republican candidates to be like Hillary then vote for Hillary.

There is no perfect candidate and in McCain we see that. However he is light years better then either of the Marxist alternatives and depending on his VP choice can be a step back to what we all believe is best for America.

There are important issues and there are not so important issues and to be the kind of Republican who demands perfection and purity in their elected officials is to go down the path to defeat and eventual oblivion. Over the years we lost, incrementally, part of what has made us great. We must get it back in the same way, slowly. It is far easier to get good things done or else prevent bad things from being done if you are IN office.

The authors all or nothing approach is short sighted and a recipe for disaster in the long term.

I agree with the strategy. Besides, Hillary will most likely...were she to win...tear apart the democrat party with brashness.

McCain will crush the conservative movement for years to come. Republicans will move even more left than now.

We need to make sure that the Republican party knows what is happening, that we are leaving them until they become conservative again otherwise they will believe the country is moving further left than what it is...

I recently donated $50 to the hillary campaign. We should consider that were Hillary to get the nomination that many democrats may not vote...doesn’t take more than a few percent and then we could get more Republican congressmen elected...

I would definitely rather have a strong Republican congress than president.
