In Republican circles, this could constitute a form of sacrilege.
Speaking on Larry King Live last night, first daughter Jenna Bush, who appeared alongside first lady Laura Bush, confessed that she's not sure if she'll vote for the presumptive Republican nominee for president, Sen. John McCain, and even left open the possibility that she'd support either Sen. Barack Obama or Sen. Hillary Clinton. KING: Do you have a favorite between the two, the two Democrats?
Good grief, by the sounds of things I thought she came out in support of hillary!! She did nothing of the kind. Said she, as we all should, look at all the candidates.
mccain has gone around trashing her father to get ahead...can’t say as I blame her.
Me, too.
We had ONE Democrat in my senior government class. We ragged her unmercifully all year. Good thing she was good sport.
She is going to be demoted to the smaller kids table at the family Thanksgiving dinner if she keeps this up.
Looks like the perfect new political couple for occasional appearances on future “Meet the Press” shows.
Also, the “dumbing down” (Thank you, political correctness!) of the general public continues to get worse, so there’s no sure guarantee that Jenna along with many others will truly “get it” later in their lives.
So one would be a wing nut for not supporting socialists or near socialists for President? Call me a wing nut then.
Liberal accusation .... the Mission for that aircraft carrier was Accomplished ....
Maybe age enters into it. I was over 29 when Reagan took office. Reagan seems to be the turning point.
And I might add, wimpy Carter had been President for 4 years. That was an eye opener for most. Personally I had voted for Ford. It was obvious Carter had dust for brains.
Give it a break.
All Jenna said is that she’s going to consider all possibilities. I’d probably have said the same thing.
I’m much more worried about the follow-the-crowd mentality of many voters.
I appreciate a thoughtful voter.
Aw Come on, a little truth here please! The president chose to don a flight suit and land on the carrier as handlers arranged to have the "Mission Accomplished" banner flown out ahead of time...(you might believe the USS Lincoln just happened to have the cloth banner on hand; I don't.)
He did it because, despite rumors of the looting and cautions from top commanders in Iraq that there weren't enough troops to mop up after victory, because he was confident that all he was told by Rumsfeld, Cheney and Co. was fact, and was buoyed by reports of Sadaam's statues being pulled down, that "we'd be welcomed as liberators!" Now, constrast that with the precautions that the U.S. fighting forces made when liberating former allied countries in WWII. We actually fired on the French Fleet anchored at Morocco for instance, and took real efforts in making certain that the Italians would actually welcome us in the invasions of their lands.
Yeah, I know, but it ain’t gonna give her the best seat at the dinner table.
Right...and, if you believe that one, I have a guaranteed investment scheme from a Nigerian source that would interest you!
Nope, just mis-informed.
Of course I am right ... some people were and apparently still are greeeeeeen with envy at the sight of President Bush flying out and landing on that carrier that stilllll spurs them on.... pooooor baby.
I have a guaranteed investment scheme from a Nigerian source that would interest you! That pretty much sums up the lord McCain's candidacy....
Mis-informed? I think any conservative who doesn’t have quite a number of issues with John McCain are themselves quite mis-informed.
Five years after the Presidents speech thanking our military and the sailors on that ship for taking out Saddam and Sons, their mission is STILL accomplished.
No matter what you pukes on the left dream up to aid any enemies in Iraq, Saddam and Son’s are dead, and those Iraqis who want it are dying in a battle for a civilized country.
So scram you sniveling MSM flunky.
I spent too many years in uniform protecting your goddam right to free speech and your right to do it anonymously but don’t you DARE accuse me of “aiding the enemy in Iraq,” you POS!
Cut the drama, it does not work with me.
This might be the single most intelligent thing any Bush has said for decades.
