A court document says one phone number used to report alleged abuse at a polygamist retreat in Texas had been used previously by a 33-year-old Colorado woman.
It's not yet clear whether authorities suspect Rozita Swinton of Colorado Springs made any of the calls that triggered this month's raid of the compound.
An arrest warrant affidavit made public Wednesday says a phone number she had used previously was used for a call to a Texas crisis center before authorities conducted the raid and removed more than 400 children. Swinton's whereabouts are unknown.
Authorities have said a 16-year-old girl called a crisis center claiming she was abused at the compound. Authorities have not found that girl but say they have found evidence other children were abused.
That’s from last friday, and she was a person of interest.
It is certainly POSSIBLE that between last friday and this wednesday, the investigators have questioned her as a person of interest, or has done more legwork, and now has specific information.
And if it’s an ongoing investigation, there may be nothing public about it, except the filings they have to make that are public.
We should know more as time goes by.
Oh, I see.
As for my screen name, I get it from the area where the FLDS harkens, it is my home.

Of course I know nothing about the group. Haven’t lived with them, or around them for over 50 years or nothin’.< /sarc>
Well.
That is going to screw up the FLDS apologists who wanted to claim that some wacko African-American girl in Colorado was really the Sarah that called from the YFZ sex ranch.
I think there are over 200 articles at this point all saying the same thing.
The bogus phone call was made by Swinton to a Texas shelter before the raids happened.
I guess that is about as good as we can find right now.
Ok, you lost me, what are you talking about?
It is chilling.
Also, listen to the witnesses on that tape mention the same issues that have been debated here on FR - notably the connection between LDS and FLDS.
Ok, you lost me, what are you talking about?

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.
One phone number used to report alleged abuse at a polygamist retreat in Texas had been used previously by a Colorado woman, according to an arrest warrant affidavit made public Wednesday.
The affidavit said a call was placed from that phone number to a crisis center in Texas
before
authorities there raided a renegade Mormon sects retreat and removed more than 400 children.
Yes, and at one time it was possible that the moon was made out of cheese so some thought, but that fable wasn't true either.

This story is from last week!!!
The court documents that state for sure that Swinton called the shelter in Texas (that sparked the raid) with her cell phone.
Instead of saying that things are false, why not read the current news reports on the matter?
The bogus phone call was made by Swinton to a Texas shelter before the raids happened.
Are you the crazy lady's, boy friend are her brother?
Typical liberal tactic. Go away.
Geeze. Why are you pinging me to this? I know that story is from last week. I am waiting for the affadavit.
However, if she had been proven as the source of the original calls, I think there would be charges filed, and none have been reported.
That list of articles is almost worthless, because most of them are exactly the same article. If one person made a mistake, none of the rest of the hack reporters checked the story out.
Her call was not the reason for the cops action, since her first call was made to the lady in Arizona while the search was going on. And then she made more calls to Texas, as reported.
You can watch another outstanding video on Mormonism and polygamy HERE. You should be warned: it is about 90 minutes long and you will need to have a box of tissues handy before you get to the end.
Either way, it does not make a bit of difference to this case. If you disagree with that then I suggest you look deep down in your heart about why you feel that following up on a false call for help, in good faith, should mean that regardless of what LE found, the FDLS gets a free pass. JAT
I agree with you, although I suppose it could affect the criminal prosecutions.
The children’s situation will not pivot on this story, IMO.
This group (whatever their religion is) is getting more leeway than any single mother would. They would have probably already been arrested. How many mothers nursing get to go with their children? How many get to stay with young children? How many get to continue home schooling? And do you know what...I like this judge. Hopefully her mandates will help other families in the future if this turns out well.
