A court document says one phone number used to report alleged abuse at a polygamist retreat in Texas had been used previously by a 33-year-old Colorado woman.
It's not yet clear whether authorities suspect Rozita Swinton of Colorado Springs made any of the calls that triggered this month's raid of the compound.
An arrest warrant affidavit made public Wednesday says a phone number she had used previously was used for a call to a Texas crisis center before authorities conducted the raid and removed more than 400 children. Swinton's whereabouts are unknown.
Authorities have said a 16-year-old girl called a crisis center claiming she was abused at the compound. Authorities have not found that girl but say they have found evidence other children were abused.
It doesn’t say that phone number was used to call the original Texas shelter.
Good grief. Why is this so hard for people to comprehend?
The idiot woman heard about the situation in Texas and started making her own hoax phone calls based on information coming out of Texas.
She is not being charged in the Texas case. If her number had been proven to be used in the original set of calls, she would have been arrested for that.
You are wrong.
The affidavit said a call was placed from that phone number to a crisis center in Texas
Don’t worry the usual suspects always show-up and start lumping all “mormons” in with these offshoots and how dare you ever presume that “cultists” are entitled to due process and other such Constitutional “mish-mash.” Only “christians” who “have given it up to Jesus” are entitled to those protections!
This is sounding more like Waco and the Brand Davidians all over again but without the fireworks.
Oh no..I mean when I brought this up on another thread..I was villified by a anti Mormon zealot...
Because your information is incorrect

authorities there raided a renegade Mormon sects retreat and removed more than 400 children.
I gotta tell ya, I am a Christian, and not a Mormon. But I know some folks who had a child taken away in a custody battle and the judge ruled that when they had visitation, they could not teach the child anything from the Bible.
And they were baptist.
Rozita Swinton is a PLEDGED BARACK OBAMA STATE DELEGATE!!

Correct...the crisis center is “newbridge”...
Yea that’s about right
It’s the noble intentions that count, right? It’s a disgusting, evil cult I have been told on another thread (or else I’m a complete idiot, the wise poster wrote)!
Really. Got a link? If the "usual suspects always show up" then surely it shouldn't be too hard to prove what you say. Frankly, I don't believe it.
Do you think they could tell over the phone? :p
You’re right. The other three articles I am reading have different information.
I’m searching for the affidavit....

Imho, the problem with Waco was not that the government was investigating the Branch Davidians, but that they did not use appropriate methods in their pursuit. We were never able to really know what went on there, because of the inept behaviour of the government, which resulted in the deaths of many of the cult members and the burning and destruction of the site.
That didn't happen with the FLDS.
The govt. doesn’t care what religion anybody is....if you read anything that hints at spiritual enlightenment (other than the Koran), you are unfit to be a parent. That has been my whole premise on any and all these posts regarding the FLDS compound. Their rights have been violated and regardless of what they believe and were practicing, the government pushed its way through the “Constitutional mumbo-jumbo” and added the emotional aspect of “child rape” to inflame those of us who understand the sanctity of children and allowing them to gather the evidence they didn’t have previous to going in there!
I am still waiting to see if the so called informant for the last 4 years was at this ranch. Got pretty quiet real quick.
