AL GORE wants to make a sequel to his Oscar-winning documentary on global warming – and despite Earth’s “rising fever” he is still hopeful for a happy ending.
We are, he says, all players in deciding the outcome.
Despite the success of his film An Inconvenient Truth and last year’s Live Earth concerts in raising awareness, the former US Vice President believes little has changed where it counts and the situation is even more urgent.
And he warns that while individual efforts such as changing to low-energy lightbulbs are important, it is more significant for world leaders to change laws to stop pollution pouring into the atmosphere and affecting the climate.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Mr Gore – hailed as the world’s leading green campaigner – said recent polls had found that while people rate climate change as a “serious problem”, some ranked it lower than clearing up dog mess.

People still fall for the stuff this guy puts out! Guess he needs to make another $40 million off of another movie. One thing for sure, he wants his name and face out in the public. That’s what all this is about, plus the money.
I remember when "Political Correctness" was jokingly mentioned in a two paragraph article on the back page of my local newspaper. Look how it now controls our lives and speech now.
I remember back in the 1970's when smoking/non-smoking sections came about and brooke shields did commercials about kissing smokers being like licking an ashtray. Fast forward to today and a large portion of our society has been demonized for taking part in a legal activity.
Those are just two examples of how this sort of thing gets out of hand. When Our Government (including Dubya) starts buying into this, I'd place a bet we'll be paying out our nose for all this hot air.
Gore doesn't want to take credit, he wants to sell credits. Carbon credits.
