When Heather O'Reilly decided she wanted to become an environmental activist, she thought it was important to learn from one of the best.
The Queen's University graduate student wasted no time in going straight to former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, whose documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, won an Academy Award.
Last weekend, O'Reilly was one of 275 Canadians who attended a three-day training program with the Nobel Peace Prize winner in Montreal. Gore's workshops are designed to prepare people to become activists in the fight to stop climate change.
David Suzuki, host of CBC's The Nature of Things , spoke at the event, held at a large hotel in downtown Montreal.
"It was intensive - the schedule was absolutely intense," said O'Reilly.
Gore personally led the workshops.
"He presented the whole [premise behind] An Inconvenient Truth," she said. "We would stop at some points to have round-table [discussions] and come up with questions about things that were on our minds and then those questions were posed to him and he would give responses to them."
Andrew Weaver, the scientific adviser for The Climate Change Project, was also on hand to answer questions.
O'Reilly, a mother of three adult sons, applied online to receive the training after she heard about Gore's Climate Change Project about a year and a half ago on CBC Radio.

At least she admits this. Gore just avoids the debate on science.
But, but, but ... She was taught by the “best”.
Notice that ABC’s “impartial” news announcer anchored the event, spoke at it, and (obviously) covered BOTH ides of the problem.
Right?
If Gore won’t go to the debate then the debate must come to him. Those who wish to challenge Gore head to head should attend these re-education sessions and pose their questions there.
Even Gore’s advisors refuse to engage in debate.
Since he claims he is NOT a scientist and can’t answer certain questions, let his “scientific advisors” field those questions. Make SOMEONE on the dias accountable for a response to the overwhelming voices of dissent.
We have been called TRAITORS to America and the World. We have been called Flat Earthers and Holocaust Deniers.

It is so sad that so much of the world's population has been

I admit, Gore is one of the best scam artist and activist, God only knows how that dimwit does it, but he certainly has zero education in climatology or weather.

Gore is a carbuncle on the anus of reality.
It should be remembered that Al Gore is a failed Theology student, meaning he forgot the overall purpose of his lessons and only learned those parts that had to do with spreading his “faith”.
“You can’t see it, you can’t breath it and you can’t touch it,” she said. “If I were to be questioned by those who truly don’t believe that global warming is happening, I won’t engage in debate because I am not a scientist.”
The whole Global Warming ‘argument’ in a nutshell. Don’t argue with the ‘non-believers’, just call them ‘flat earthers’, ‘deniers’, and ‘tools of big oil’. The argument is over according to Al. And thus this poor woman becomes another of the Branch Algorian cult, sent out to spread the gospel according to Saint Al.

Global warming is religion without an all powerful deity to give it some sense of divine purpose....
Unless you count Gore as God....
They do not debate because their minds are already made up. Theirs is a religious crusade to save not souls, but “the planet.”

Now she goes and gets environmentally educated. Meanwhile, three big SUV driving, beer can tossing slobs are out there running loose!
