Local and state officials entered the temple of a secretive polygamist sect late Saturday, said lawmen blockading the road to the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado.
The action comes hours after local prosecutors said officials were preparing for the worst because a group of FLDS members were resisting efforts to search the structure.
The Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and Schleicher County sheriffs deputy confirmed that officials have entered the temple but said they had no word on whether anything occurred in the effort.
The incursion into the temple caps the three-day saga of the states Child Protective Services agency removing at least 183 women and children from the YFZ Ranch since Friday afternoon. Eighteen girls have been placed in state custody since a 16-year-old told authorities she was married to a 50-year-old man and had given birth to his child.
Saturday evening, ambulances were brought in, said Allison Palmer, who as first assistant 51st District attorney, would prosecute any felony crimes uncovered as part of the investigation inside the compound.
In preparing for entry to the temple, law enforcement is preparing for the worst, Palmer said Saturday evening. They want to have medical personnel on hand in case this were to go in a way that no one wants.
Apparently as a result of action Saturday night at the ranch, about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, a Schleicher County school bus unloaded another group of at least a dozen more women and children from the compound.
Although members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or FLDS, have provided varying degrees of cooperation to the sheriffs deputies and Texas Rangers searching the compound, all cooperation stopped once authorities tried to search the gleaming white temple that towers over the West Texas scrub, Palmer said.
There may be those who would oppose (entry) by placing themselves between law enforcement and the place of worship, Palmer said Saturday afternoon. If an agreement cannot be reached law enforcement will have to as gently and peaceably as possible make entry into that place.
Sect members consider the temple, dedicated by then-leader of the sect Warren Jeffs in January 2005 and finished many months later, off-limits to those who are not FLDS members, said Palmer, who prosecutes felony cases in Schleicher County.
Palmer said she didnt know the size or makeup of the group inside the temple.
The earlier refusal to provide access was even more disconcerting because CPS investigators have yet to identify the 16-year-old girl or her roughly 8-month-old baby among the dozens removed from the compound, Palmer said.
Anytime someone says, Dont look here, she said, it makes you concerned thats exactly where you need to look.
The girl told authorities in two separate phone calls a day apart that she was married to a 50-year-old man, Dale Barlow, who had fathered her child, Palmer said.
The joint raid included the Texas Rangers, CPS, Schleicher County and Tom Green County sheriffs deputies and game wardens from the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife.
Although CPS and Department of Public Safety officials have described the compounds residents as cooperative, Palmer disagreed.
Things have been a little tense, a little volatile, she said.
Authorities removed 52 children Friday afternoon and 131 women and children overnight Friday. About 40 of the children are boys, said CPS spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner.
No further children have been taken into state custody since Friday, when 18 girls were judged to have been abused or be at imminent risk for abuse. CPS has found foster homes for the girls, Meisner said, and will place them after concluding its investigation.
Meisner declined to comment on the fate of the 119 other children and said authorities were still searching the ranch for others Saturday evening.
Theyre in the process of looking, she said. Theyre literally about halfway through.
The Ethiopian Coptic Church kept Enoch in their canon when Rome banned it after 300 years of NT history, during which time it was quoted much by early Believers and called Scripture by some of them.
From the Ethiopian Coptic Church, copies of Enoch were got and were bought to England in the late 1700’s, and translated to English in the early 1800’s.
It is available to read online @ http://www.ccel.org/c/charles/otpseudepig/enoch/ENOCH_1.HTM
But the English translation is outdated and needs to be updated to today’s English, from the Ethiopian.
Copies of it were found in the Qumram caves in the 1940’s, by which it is proved to pre-date the NT by three hundred years, at least: but Jude credits it to Enoch, and Jesus quotes it very much, about Himself as the Son of Man who was in heaven, who was to come, and is come -and shall come- who was with God and who was God, who was hidden, from the beginning, until the time of His revealing [as the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world].
Jesus also refers to the doctrines laid down in Enoch 1 as facts not to be disputed; like the everlasting Abyss of fire, and hell beneath earth, and the wrath to come [from which all in Adam are called to escape from, in this age of the Church, by His acceptable Atonement for all men, offered once, for all]; and the complete removal of all the godless and wicked at His return to reign, even the removal of the tares, explained in Enoch as the disembodied spirits of the nephillim, called foul spirits roaming earth tormenting and afflicting, deceiving and seducing Adamkind until the angels gather them at the return of Jesus can cast them into the Abyss.
Also: the true Book of Jasher has been translated into English for hundreds of years, and is also available at ccel.org.
Between the historical records of the chronicles of the tribes of Adam as recorded through the millennia and kept by the descendents of Shem, through Abraham and Isaac, called the Book of the Upright =Jasher, and the prophesies of the book of Enoch 1 [the true Enoch, as there are false Enoch’s which contradict OT and NT], which was quoted by Jesus Christ and all the NT authors, all false religions are totally refuted. -and the OT and NT as we have them and have had them from the beginning, are confirmed.
Enoch saw the Holy One in heaven, and shows us that Jesus Christ was, from the beginning, that Son of Man who was in heaven; who was with God and who was God, who was hidden [seen by Enoch as the alter ego/another same self, of the Great Glory, the Head/Ancient of days, on the throne in the created temple in the created heaven], but who was to come, in flesh [Romans 5:14], and in whose image Adam is made, and who made all things as the Word/Oath of God, and upholds all things and who is the appointed judge of angels and men, and who is the only Person in the One Triune YHWH who was, is, and shall be seen, from eternity past -everlasting- to everlasting.
Enoch refutes all false religions about the Person and work of “the Son of Man who was in heaven”, from the beginning, who is YHWH, and who made all things, who is now come in the flesh of second creation human being kind, and who is the only living Son of God of the human kind, come to be the Kinsman/Redeemer to Adam and to ransom the lost inheritance given to Adam, former son of God human kind [at creation, before the fall; Luke 3:38] to rule.
Since when did the topic at hand become limited to the scope you decided it was? I was under the impression that the subject at hand was the validity of Mormonism overall. As for the issue you wish to limit it to, that has already been addressed to my complete satisfaction, the response being that you twist the Bible, as well as your own scripture, making interpretations to fit what you WANT it to say rather than what it clearly says.
You meanwhile continue to ignore inquiries with regards to such other issues which throw mormonism into question, such as deceptive use of language in order to make the BOM appear more legitimate as just one example.
You also further ignore such issues raised as, taking for granted that what you say about polygamy is true (which I do not concede) why it is that the LDS has renounced such acts, thus compromising principles and disobeying what you claim God commanded, for the sake of earthly expediency.
You are clearly into the realm of intellectual dishonesty now, and as such are wasting our time. I gave an opportunity for you to address these issues, and kept an open mind, not making a final assessment in my mind until you had an opportunity to state your position. I have been perfectly willing to be persuaded and, as I have many times in my life, reexamine and alter my own religious beliefs in response... and you have failed utterly.
You may go on to try to convince others all you want, I am no longer wasting my time on you. Instead I will simply give prayer that one day you will see the light.
Good luck to you.
Neither is the BoM, the PoGP, the BoA, your AoF's or the voluminous and editted D&C's!
What Joseph Smith said contradicts Christianity.
Thousands? I WANT THOUSANDS TOO!!!
They also found long blond hair strands on the beds. Moreover, you can bet your bottom dollar they are testing the beds and bed linens for semen.
Those areas in the temple must be investigated as a rape crime scene.
That about sums it up.
Translation:
"I will believe ANYTHING if someone tells me GOD is in it."
