BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Authorities enter Eldorado-area temple (Fundamentalist LDS cult)
Go San Angelo ^ | 5 April 08 | Paul A. Anthony

Posted on 04/06/2008 5:27:22 AM PDT by SkyPilot

Local and state officials entered the temple of a secretive polygamist sect late Saturday, said lawmen blockading the road to the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado.

The action comes hours after local prosecutors said officials were preparing for the worst because a group of FLDS members were resisting efforts to search the structure.

The Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and Schleicher County sheriff’s deputy confirmed that officials have entered the temple but said they had no word on whether anything occurred in the effort.

The incursion into the temple caps the three-day saga of the state’s Child Protective Services agency removing at least 183 women and children from the YFZ Ranch since Friday afternoon. Eighteen girls have been placed in state custody since a 16-year-old told authorities she was married to a 50-year-old man and had given birth to his child.

Saturday evening, ambulances were brought in, said Allison Palmer, who as first assistant 51st District attorney, would prosecute any felony crimes uncovered as part of the investigation inside the compound.

“In preparing for entry to the temple, law enforcement is preparing for the worst,” Palmer said Saturday evening. They want to have “medical personnel on hand in case this were to go in a way that no one wants.”

Apparently as a result of action Saturday night at the ranch, about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, a Schleicher County school bus unloaded another group of at least a dozen more women and children from the compound.

Although members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or FLDS, have provided varying degrees of cooperation to the sheriff’s deputies and Texas Rangers searching the compound, all cooperation stopped once authorities tried to search the gleaming white temple that towers over the West Texas scrub, Palmer said.

“There may be those who would oppose (entry) by placing themselves between law enforcement and the place of worship,” Palmer said Saturday afternoon. “If an agreement cannot be reached … law enforcement will have to — as gently and peaceably as possible — make entry into that place.”

Sect members consider the temple, dedicated by then-leader of the sect Warren Jeffs in January 2005 and finished many months later, off-limits to those who are not FLDS members, said Palmer, who prosecutes felony cases in Schleicher County.

Palmer said she didn’t know the size or makeup of the group inside the temple.

The earlier refusal to provide access was even more disconcerting because CPS investigators have yet to identify the 16-year-old girl or her roughly 8-month-old baby among the dozens removed from the compound, Palmer said.

“Anytime someone says, ‘Don’t look here,’” she said, “it makes you concerned that’s exactly where you need to look.”

The girl told authorities in two separate phone calls a day apart that she was married to a 50-year-old man, Dale Barlow, who had fathered her child, Palmer said.

The joint raid included the Texas Rangers, CPS, Schleicher County and Tom Green County sheriff’s deputies and game wardens from the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Although CPS and Department of Public Safety officials have described the compound’s residents as cooperative, Palmer disagreed.

“Things have been a little tense, a little volatile,” she said.

Authorities removed 52 children Friday afternoon and 131 women and children overnight Friday. About 40 of the children are boys, said CPS spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner.

No further children have been taken into state custody since Friday, when 18 girls were judged to have been abused or be at imminent risk for abuse. CPS has found foster homes for the girls, Meisner said, and will place them after concluding its investigation.

Meisner declined to comment on the fate of the 119 other children and said authorities were still searching the ranch for others Saturday evening.

“They’re in the process of looking,” she said. “They’re literally about halfway through.”

You use the doings of sinners to justify sin? That is not allowed by God. He compares all men to God come in flesh of the second creation human being, Jesus Christ.

You cannot find any fault in Him. He had no sin, and He was tempted in all points as all in Adam are, from the beginning: the lust of the flesh [and sexual immorality is only one aspect of the lusts of the flesh]; the lusts of the eyes; and the pride of life; and yet, He was without sin.

Nothing good came out of that episode. The fact that Joseph Smith referred to it in D&C 132 as a good thing and stated that God COMMANDED Abraham and Sarah to enter into this vile, illicit, and destructive relationship is clear evidence that D&C 132 is a DOCTRINE OF DEMONS!

I agree, and except for 16:3, the other refereces to her are not excactly indicative of an approved relationship.

16:6 - Abraham refers to her as "Your (Sarai's) servant...."
16:8 - the angel speaks to hagar and addresses her as the 'servant of Sarai', not the wife of Abram
21:10 - hagar called "slave woman" by sarai
21:12 - God speaking to Abram refers to hagar as "maidservant", not wife and
25:12 hagar is refered to as Sarai's maidservant and 'the Egyptian.

“The Bible specifically approves of it by God approving of men who were polygamous, Men like Moses the law giver who was polygamous while writing the books of the law!”
That is a lie.
Moses’ had been given a Cushite/Ethiopian wife by the Cushites, when he was made their king after fleeing Egypt. He did not go in to her, ever. Politically, he was in no position to not take her into the household of king, which they gave him for delivering them in a war after he fled Egypt, for 40 years. He had no children by her because he did not go in to her.
He took one wife for himself, who bore his two children.
Moses knew what his calling was, and what the call of Abraham was, from the time of his childhood, as recorded in the book of Jasher [Behold, is it not written in the Book of Jasher; Joshua 10:13;2 Sam 1:18], and it did not include taking a Cushite woman to wife.

This is all recorded in the true book of the Upright -Jasher. You can find it online at www.ccel.org.

ROTFLOL, Really where do you guys get this stuff? Oh, from other anti's, LOL and worse, you believe them! LOL!

I get this stuff from YOUR PROPHETS:

Brigham Young, second president of the LDS Church, declared "The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 11, p. 269, August 19, 1866)

In a sermon reported in the LDS Church's Deseret News, August 6, 1862, Brigham Young stated:

Monogamy, or restrictions by law to one wife, is no part of the economy of heaven among men. Such a system was commenced by the founders of the Roman empire. . . . Rome became the mistress of the world, and introduced this order of monogamy wherever her sway was acknowledged. Thus this monogamic order of marriage, so esteemed by modern Christians as a holy sacrament and divine institution, is nothing but a system established by a set of robbers. . . .

Why do we believe in and practice polygamy? Because the Lord introduced it to his servants in a revelation given to Joseph Smith, and the Lord's servants have always practiced it. "And is that religion popular in heaven?" It is the only popular religion there . . . (Deseret News, August 6, 1862)

Now, are you willing to disavow Brigham Young and call him a false prophet? If so, then we can ROTFLOL together.

K would’ve been more than ole Joe Schmidt could handle.

A message would have come to Joe about her:

“And, verily, verily, thou shalt look unto thy house, and should thy husband desire an additional espoused virgin, thou shalt say unto him, “See this here cleaver, bubba? The Tomahawk Chop ain’t got nothin’ on me! We’re gonna have some cleaving going on, if you don’t head on back to the house.”

And Joe would’ve said to her:

“Verily, Verily, Yes Dear...”

Here is a thread about a new Salt Lake City article. Lone Star Justice: Why isn't Utah as bold as Texas about polygamy?

“And, verily, verily, thou shalt look unto thy house, and should thy husband desire an additional espoused virgin, thou shalt say unto him”

K was Dick Armey’s inspiration for this gem,

“When asked, “If you had been in President Clinton’s place would you have resigned?”

Armey’s reply:
“If I had been in the president’s place I would not have gotten the chance to resign. I would have been lying in a pool of my own blood, looking up, and listening to my wife ask, ‘How do you reload this damn thing?””

Now you see what happens when the Mormons tried putting a screen door on a submarine. They did put a hook and eye latch on it, but they left the hatch open when trying to dive out of the truth raining down on them.

You are the folks doing the mud sling but that is ok becaues I am read documents from the lip of Helen Mar Kimball-Whitney and getting a real insight of the real struggles the LDS had to do to build up the Lord Kingdom on earth.

and when you little heel nippers continue to bark the more pathetic you all are looking...

Matter of fact Helen talks about those who were just like you now and none of your kind have change a bit!

Can't Satan come up with anything new?

Why should he? He's still getting mileage out of the line that *you shall be as God*. Proof enough that mankind hasn't changed enough for him to change his tactics.
