I have been pondering this portion of Mr. McCreary’s findings for a while now, but I cannot see how this proves McCain did anything illegal. What it does prove (at least to me) is this:
That he (McCain) “strongly disagreed” with the findings in the intelligence briefing text (IBT).
The copy of the IBT in McCain’s (Office’s) possession was not destroyed on the 9th of April, 1992. This is proven by the reason below.
That the only surviving copy of the IBT was actually produced by McCain’s office, and deposited in the Office of Senate Security on the 16th of April, 1992.
I am not posting this to you to “defend McCain” or be a “McCainiac” or disparage you, or to get into a fight with you. However, based on this post, I don’t see how my interpretation of it (the post) is wrong.
Please advise.
This is one memo of three reports. All copies were ordered destroyed even though they thankfully weren’t. The information held back in these live sightings is what closed the accounting of these men.
