I honestly don’t know, First we would have to get names and then find out if they are interested in the nomination for 2012. Then go on from there. But Regrouping is something that should start soon. Do you think?

McCain is simply not a conservative. All your ranting wont change that fact.I think she knows that.
The message was we're supposed to accept it and not complain, something any real conservative would never do.

Asking someone to suck it up and quit whining is not a violation of free speech. Seeing that charge repeated endlessly on this thread makes me think there may be little hope for rekindling conservatism, because even the people who are so “conservative” they’ll accept Obama over McCain don’t have a clue what free speech is.

We may be doomed. McCain is just far enough to the left that many democrats will vote for him and probably get him elected. The lesson will be that Republicans can win without conservatives. That lesson will probably spread down through the Senate and the House and we will see fewer and fewer conservatives in office. Yes. :-(

FDR wasn’t a conservative, but if I was voting in the 1944 election and the GOP put up daffy Duck as the nominee, I’d vote for FDR. That’s the situation we’re in now.

I think trying to plan the 2012 election in April of 2008 is a fool’s errand. We should concentrate on keeping the anti-semitic chihuahuas out of the White House and then make sure the next president is a conservative.

The democrat party wasn’t the same in 1944 as it is now. It makes it difficult as to whom I would have voted for.

You could hurt both him and the Dems by voting for Nader!!! Better to have a real greeie weenie, than a fake one who can’t line up with either Dems, or Repubs!!!

My point was that we are in a time of war and we have one candidate qualified to take the helm and two people who are clueless America-haters.

I have great hope for the future of conservatism because of folks that will not accept a liberal just because he has a (R) following his name. Some others are glad to see the continued leftward movement of the republican party. I am a conservative, not necessarily a republican, and I don't vote for liberals.
How many, and which, of your core conservative values have you had to compromise in order to support McCain?

Maybe your are right about now and 20012. But if we keep taring each other apart and not recognizing we are on the same side, there may not BE a conservative group to work with.
I am only trying to get people to realize the seriousness of the situation with out barbs and cuts to each other.
IF we cannot agree now, can we come to some kind of agreement later?
I truly hope so.
To: whatisthetruth
It sure is going to be great when Obama or Hillary shuts that border, isn’t it?

no matter how angry Rush Limbaugh is about it or how it happened or anyone else who is mad, McCain is the only one running for the office of president who is not a raving lunatic stalinist.Excuse me?
To: Mr. Silverback
Doesn’t matter at this point, on that issue we’re hosed all the way around unless we can elect a Congress to stop them. If not the GOP can say goodbye to power ever again, thus the death knell for a once great country.
