I have great hope for the future of conservatism because of folks that will not accept a liberal just because he has a (R) following his name. Some others are glad to see the continued leftward movement of the republican party. I am a conservative, not necessarily a republican, and I don't vote for liberals.

How many, and which, of your core conservative values have you had to compromise in order to support McCain?

None. Conservatism is a political philosophy, not a religion. On every single issue where McCain disagrees with me, the Democrats also disagree with me. On every issue where he agrees with me, the Democrats disagree with me. I am choosing the most conservative candidate available to me, which is exactly what I'd be doing if the nominee had been Hunter or Thompson.

You know, if you want to tell people they're wrong, that's great, but this whole "compromise your principles" thing just makes you guys look silly, like someone telling a sailor in a damage control party that he's a traitor to his shipmates because the ship won't be inspection-ready when he's finished patching up the torpedo hole. Right now the country has taken a hit, and people who don't want to do damage control because they might get their uniform dirty are looking pretty silly.
