You know, I don’t mean to be stirring the pot, but it seems to me like the religion of peace is a common factor in all of these terrorist attcks throughout the years. Wait, I did mean to stir it.
Our policy of turning the other cheek up until 9/11 only emboldened them. They kept escalating the violence until they hit us so hard we couldn’t ignore it. And they’re going to continue waging war on us, whether we fight back or not, until Allah grants them victory (as they’re confident he will). Ignoring them hasn’t worked in the past. Why would it work in the future?
Bringing our troops home before the job is done would result in bringing the war home with them. Is that really what America wants?

It is important to remember that all religions and cultures are equivalent and one is not necessarily worse than others just because it is different.

RE: Sirhan Sirhan - there was an article in some MSM paper that said he didn’t kill Bobby - like Bobby was shot from behind and S/S was four to six feet in front of him .... anybody else hear about that story???

Sept. 30 - Four Soviet diplomats kidnapped in Lebanon, 1 killed but other three released unharmed after a relative of the terrorist leader’s was kidnapped and killed by the Soviet KGB.
As I remember, the Soviets also sent some body parts of some other terrorists to the kidnappers. When the Soviets were finished there were bad guys walking around without noses, ears, fingers, etc. The Soviets knew how to deal with them and to hell with “public opinion”. Water boarding would have been easy.

Yeah, the night in October 1973 when I was nearly dragged from the arms of my family while taking an after dinner stroll in the International Zone in Geneva, Switzerland, by two Arabs driving a light blue Renault didn’t make the list. If I hadn’t had two Aunts holding me by one arm, I’d have been dead long ago. I’ve often thought about how close I came. Yikes!
