Ahh... perhaps a full bodied Cab tonight...

Extremely dry reds have always been my faves!

For what it’s worth I do like red wine. My favorite is a good German Dornfelder.

Question, though: I also like red and blue grapes. Would eating grapes gain the same benefit?

Anyone know?

Yep. Four raw almonds per day and a small sip of wine. That’s my prescription for preventing cancer.

Of course once the cancer disappears expect to spend the rest of your days on a bench in the park with your medicine in a brown paper bag.

What this report/study DIDN’T mention was ominous—that alcohol consumption ITSELF can bring on cancers, particularly colon cancer. It also failed to mention the fact that those who drink alcohol are also prone to smoke. Ever gone to bar and noticed that almost every person drinking is also smoking?

So, drinking wine for the resveratrol can be problematic as alcohol itself can bring on cancer, making drinking red wine self-defeating.

Wonder what effect there is , if any, between the different varietals and/or their price?

Does a darker, richer Cabernet or Syrah have more antioxidants than a lighter Pinot?

P.S. Friends don't let friends drink white Zinfandel.

"a natural antioxidant found in grape skins and red wine can help destroy pancreatic cancer cells".....I would think so.......

I’ve been drinking 8 oz. of pomegranite juice every evening for years. It’s supposed to be better than red wine.

Sorry, since California is politically slightly to the left of France, I boycott their wine too. Most of it is overpriced, poorly balanced fruit bombs harvested by illegal aliens anyway.

Australia, Chile and Italy can provide better wine at a lower cost without subsidizing the SRC.

Resveratrol and other anti-oxidents are available in capsule form with greater potency at health food stores.

I order such products from swansonvitamins.com. They have reasonable prices and fast delivery.

Hey guys I need a little help. Here is yet another article detailing the benefits of a little red wine. Unfortunately, I HATE wine. Even when I was a tee-totaller, I could drink straight Lord Calvert/Jack/Old Crow but NOT wine. Could some of you possibly suggest a wine that is good on its own, perhaps something a little sweet? Something that would go down easily before bedtime? Many thanks...

Is a "tee-totaller" someone that tee's up the ball for every shot? Must be all the booze.
