I think MamaBear's jay is a ScrubJay..Here is an Eastern
Bluebird..They are not jays and are smaller. They are beautiful!

Meg, that is the kind of bluebird that builds in my house out back. They are beautiful. I saw one in the bird bath the other day but I haven’t seen them in and out of the house yet. Of course they could be from a neighbor’s house. I do love them. And I have a lot of the ‘bluejays’ that you like but not one like Mama Bear’s. That was beautiful!

Correct, it’s a scrub jay. That’s what we have in this part of the world, up and down the state. A little further north of Mama Bear, on the coast, they have the Steller’s Jay.

While we’re talkin’ birds, I caught two mockingbirds in the act yesterday... of mating!!! Spring has sprung:)!!
