Idol contestant, Kristy Lee Cook, brings down the American Idol House tonight with rendition of Lee Greenwood's mega hit: |
I am the guilty one! Hic-cup! 99% of the time, Dish Guide is correct but the one time I share it with some FReepers, this is what happens. Sorry. :(
I’ll check it out for the fun of it. It’s only 10:38pm here right now.
Okay. I see she isn’t really on. Boo hoo... ;-)
I was so mad! Oh well. We have the website that fight_truth_decay shared with us!
A friend sent this info. to me: Are Producers Screwing David Archuleta? http://news.aol.com/entertainment/the-cooler
Also, over to the right under latest headlines, check out Taylor Hicks lands B’way “Grease” role!
Uncle Hicks becomes an angel ..where is the Angel in Grease? I could see him playing, Frenchie the high school drop out and hair stylist if this was Grease in Drag. Seriously, I am sure he will contribute to the cast.
I was lucky at last minute, to get to see Grease in London (winners from their TV Grease show) last fall; and Frenchie in that cast was almost identical to the original Frenchie in every way!! The Theater was smaller, more casual, can walk in off the street and most Londoners can "afford" to attend the Theater. Smaller theater (at least the one I was in) means greater actor visibility. Full house.
Tina Turner (another post above) will debit her Broadway show in London next year, before opening in the US. I am wondering who will play her, in earlier years. May see an Idol face or two, never know.
Frankie Avalon - the Teen Angel (Guardian angel) singing “Beauty School Dropout” and guiding Frenchy to go back to school. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL7F_BZ-9ME
Grease is one of my all time favorite movies. That was a treat for you to see Grease in London at the last minute. That’s right, I forgot about that Grease TV show. That’s great that Frenchie in the cast was almost identical! How about the others? Especially Sandy and Danny? Very neat and cozy in the smaller theatre.
That is interesting to wonder if an Idol face would play Tina Turner in her younger years. Will have to keep an ear out for that. You just never know! Same thing with your prediction about Syesha. Your crystal ball might not be far off!
READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLE...
Got my voting finger ready. I’ve been practicing by calling time!
We’re on!!!!
ALRIGHT! That’s what I like to hear!
READY, SET GO! Oh, it isn’t time yet although you have been calling time! Great practice! LOL
So what did you think last night? I voted for COOK as many times as I could. DialIdol.com has predicted Cook to win over Archuleta 40% to 29%. I sure hope they are right! I am ready to celebrate tonight! Or drown in my sorrows. :(
the number is busy
I didn’t get to watch the show until 12:25 am. When I started to watch, they stated we had four hours after the show ended to vote. That would be 1:00 am my time.
I only watched the songs and the critiques. The judges each had their heads firmly implanted as far as I was concerned. Archuletta didn’t win the rounds or the night. It was fairly close IMO. The bias was offensive.
Both are great singers IMO. I had promised you I would vote, and I did vote for David.
I used our two cell phones at five per pop. I used our house phone. I used our fax line. It hit 1:00 am after I had used the fax line to vote three times. Eighteen votes cast for Cook.
We’ll see how it goes.
Thank you for voting for David. I was going to pick on you and ask which one! I agree, the judges had their heads firmly implanted. No matter the outcome, both of them are very talented. I will not say anything else since I know the results and you have hours to go. A friend just told me it was live from CA from 5-7pm? Won’t say anything until I know.
YOU ROCK!
Simon actually appologized to Cook tonight. He said he didn’t think the judging was very fair, and that he had verged on showing disrespect for him, and he was sorry.
They must have gotten slammed big-time for the abysmal judging on Tuesday night. I certainly hope so.
I still thought Cook would win. I did feel kindof sorry for Archuletta, but David is so talented. They both are.
I told my wife I thought the two of them could tour and make a mountain of money out of it. Didn’t you enjoy their duet(s)?
The show last night was filled with entertainment. I compared it to the finale of Dancing with the Stars the night before, and AI simply beat it to a pulp entertainment wise.
Cook was so great with ZZTop. Archulette was good every time he performed during the evening. Syesha did fairly well, but there were moments I didn’t care for. It made it rather clear that the two David’s were the right picks.
More later...
You take care.
ZZ Top’s new lead singer... ;-)
I heard that apology to Cook from Simon. That made me feel better and I am sure for David also. Yeah, hopefully they did get slammed for that abysmal judging.
You know, I was so caught up with Cook winning that I never even thought about Archuleta until it was all over. You do have to feel sorry for him but he will certainly go far in his career. It’s not over for him by any means. He is a good kid and very talented.
Yeah, David and David looked good and perform very well together up on stage. They could make lots of money. Just like Carly and Michael. I guess they are touring together and that is a great match!
In all the excitement and the voting, I totally missed Dancing With the Stars. I heard Kristi won, which was well deserved.
Cook fit in perfectly with ZZ Top! In my opinion, that was the best performance all night. Syesha was good but like you said, there were parts I didn’t like. David and David finale was the way it should be. Just as David Cook being American Idol is the way it should be!
Take care. I have had a blast with you this season!
He fits right in! Just needs to grow his beard a little longer, his voice is perfect though! :)
