Many times I have been threatened with violence, as well as our staff at Move America Forward.

We simply shrug off the danger, and continue with our work to support our troops.

'Skye' at MidnightBlue.com wasn't so lucky yesterday in Philadelphia, Pa.

She was slapped TWICE by so-called 'peace activists'.

Here's the first.

I am saddened to report this:

Saturday around 12:10 PM, a member of the Chester County Peace Movement (CCPM) slapped a woman twice ( that would be me) who was videotaping an exchange between the two opposing groups. Police were called and an officer arrived at 12:15 PM and announced to the crowd that he was conducting an investigation.

The CCPM member was pointed out to police and the officer told the man to come forward and the man refused. The guy was totally uncooperative, belligerent and would not go with the officer. When he shoved the officer, the officer's partner took him to the ground to be handcuffed. The guy continued to resist while on the ground and the peace movement folks surrounded the officers, some as close as a foot or so away.

I've prided myself in my professional conduct at this rally and to be struck twice by a 'peace' protester who has been present since the time I began covering this rally is truly disturbing.

Since Skye and I corresponded, here's the second, more disturbing report where the 'Peace Activists' blatantly lie about what happened.

This has gotten worse since I emailed you...

I've gotten hold of a copy of the after action report from the peace protesters. Their leader, Karen Porter, condones the attack and sends a message that it is okay to hit us.

Sorry for the scrawled email, I am near tears.

Here is the the text for your perusal.

Some of you were at our vigil today, some weren't. Very briefly, here's
what happened (and we have it all on film by several people):

One of our vigilers had a verbal conflict with a counterprotestor who has
for six months constantly harassed many of us (including me). We ended that,
but it started again; and we called the police. The police came and had a 
conflict with the peace vigiler who had the original conflict. The police arrested
him, and another one of our folks, attempting to support the first vigiler,
got involved in a conflict with the police - and the police thereupon
arrested him. Several of us went to the WC Police Headquarters. Both vigilers were released after about 45 minutes.

I will not go into more detail for legal reasons. Plus, I was so busy  trying
to divert the crowd that I didn't see it all. Luckily, a lawyer  was at our
peace vigil, went to the police station with them, and has offered to
represent them both. The entire affair is now in the hands of lawyers.

I am not surprised that the “peace” people acted by slapping someone, and then lied about the incident. They did a very similar thing in Studio City, CA. They weren’t content with having their corner, so they decided to take ours. We very politely pointed out that for 5 years we have had this corner, to which we were told that it is a free country, and since we don’t have a permit....So I put my flag in front of their signs, as best I could. One nasty man grabbed my pole several times. I told him to let it go or I would call the police. His equally nasty peacenik woman friend said, “Go ahead. I’ll tell them you assaulted him!” My boyfriend came over the second time and very strongly suggested he unhand my flagpole. These people are vile. And the description that Karen posted about Skye’s folks, is the description that fits them. I have long held that whatever they are screaming about (suppression of free speech, nastiness, etc) is exactly what they are doing. Hopefully, Skye will prosecute to the fullest.

My husband and I are so ancient and he retired from the Army so long ago, that I forget the beret is a common part of military uniform nowadays.

When hubby retired, the only “berets” around were green and there weren't a great many of those, I don't think. I certainly never saw that many.

My most sincere apologies to any of the younger military set who've earned one of those berets-—no matter what the color. They are, indeed, our best and brightest.

As we have seen over and over again, they use violence and attempted while preaching peace and free speech rights.

Thanks for mentioning it. The Teamsters knocked me over and then when I was protecting Don to stop them from pummeling him, they hit me too. Five were arrested and prosecuted for attacking BOTH of us.
