I’m with you - I’d give him, or anyone, disrupting a *Church* service with a politically motivated stunt like that, a little taste of real war.

Grin, yeah. I mean, I’d be mad as hell. “Hey you freakin’ idiot, this is my good shirt and a tie I wear maybe twice a year!” It would go downhill rapidly from there...

I wouldn’t punch his lights out in the sanctuary. I’d drag him out at least to the narthex first, maybe all the way outside so I wouldn’t get his (real) blood on the carpet. From the looks of that idiot I outweigh him by about 50 lbs and can bench press far more than his entire body weight. The good news is, two of the usual ushers at our Church are big enough to drag me off him before I did serious harm that would get me arrested. I’d merely be “subduing” him and removing an unruly worshiper from the building...

A short walk from my old neighborhood. Throw the book at ’em for the obvious reasons, and that personal one.

Moron alert.

Left to right: Donte Smith, 21, Ryane Ziemba, 25, and Ephran Ramirez Jr., 22, are among six people charged after disrupting an Easter Mass at Holy Name Cathedral by squirting fake blood on themselves to protest the war in Iraq.

The War that they protest is over.

US military took his army down in two weeks and Saddam was found hiding in a small hole in the ground degraded to the point that lice and fleas were preferable to the justice that he knew he would face otherwise.

There will be peace in Iraq, not when the US military leaves, but when Muslim people stop killing other Muslim people.

“Many church leaders lean left and oppose all war.”

You are right. In fact, this great nation was founded by people in search of religious freedom. They even fought a War to obtain it. Now, we have a bunch of wimps who want to peace it away.

"We" not "they"!

We fought the the "Revolutionary War" (as some would call it) for this country's independence, not for it's religious freedom.

Some could argue at this point, but without independence you cannot have religious freedom.

>>Maybe they are just wanting to show their solidarity with bin laden, who considers the Holy Father an enemy.

Pacifism is objectively pro-Fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the war effort of one side you automatically help that of the other. Nor is there any real way of remaining outside such a war as the present one. In practice, "he that is not with me is against me".

-- George Orwell, responding to pacifists in 1942

They have a thread at Chicago Indymedia and the only comment about this is concern that a fox news poll isn't supporting the protesters. The fools are so far gone they don't even understand that this act isn't even popular on places like DU.

One can only imagine the national MMS outrage if a bunch of conservatives did this Wright’s Cult of Hate or any Islamo Cult Cult of Hate posing as a mosque.
