A German retiree is taking a hospital to court after she went in for a leg operation and got a new anus instead, the Daily Telegraph is reporting.

The woman woke up to find she had been mixed up with another patient suffering from incontinence who was to have surgery on her sphincter.

The clinic in Hochfranken, Bavaria, has since suspended the surgical team.

Now the woman is planning to sue the hospital. She still needs the leg operation and is searching for another hospital to do it.

Suddenly law suits look good. It’s better to sue a bad medical system out of existance than have this happen.

Maybe there was a rash of Klingon sightings around Uranus and Bones was trying to seal up the entry point.

The operation is probably very common in The Bay Area........

I will tell you a story. This is true. I have been to continueing medical education seminars which spend an entire day or two on 'gay bowel'. It was reported that one of the problems due to the homosexual 'assaulting' the rectum, often with foreign object, perforation was and is common. This, if high enough results in peritonitis and spillage of stool into the peritoneal cavity. The proceedure, which is life-saving, is called a Hartman Proceedure. That is amputation of the rectum. with a diversionary colostomy. Then you wait for 3-5 months, when all inflammatory processes abate, then go back in and reanastomose (hook-back up) the rectal mucous fistula to the take down decending colon.

Well, the homosexuals,it was reported, refused to have their colostomy reversed, even though it was available. One would think, if one did not have to live with the colostomy one would access reversal. Not so in the Bay area.

Yes, you can guess why. These people, it was reported, were having penile-colostomy relations.....and they liked it.

"Begs the question of what did they do with the old one. "

Well....they took the old one down to the anus stretching machine in the basement of the hospital and hooked it up.

Ever so slowly they would pull one side, then the next and the anus grew larger. Pretty soon it had stretched to 6 feet tall....

So they gave it a briefcase, discharged it from the hospital and called it a lawyer......

Who’da thunk FR would have its own expert on anal surgery....?

No one FReeper knows it all, but between us all, we know practically everything. It's the reason advice vanities are as popular as they are. Where else can you get peer reviewed advice in real time on just about any subject?

How do the doctors know if the new anus is functional? Do they pull her finger?

I don't think that was the reason at all. They probably liked to continue the anal sex without the the need for "cleaning up" afterwards............

Actually this type of mistake (mistaken identity of a patient) is fairly common. I have read of breasts removed off of people who were there for another proceedure. A friend of mine, took a womans gall bladder when she was there for a hysterectomy. You hear of people have their good leg removed leaving a gangrenous leg still attached

These are not goood things to happen. Res ipsi locitur. When these things happen the surgeon has a lawyer rip him a new on. Nowhere to run or hide. The surgeon is in deep do-do.
