Doesn't really matter once an individual right without regard to militia participation is confirmed; rolling back infringement just becomes a matter of time on a jurisdiction by jurisdiction basis.
Presidential/Senate elections matter!
This is why I’ll vote Mccain even though he’s uninspiring.
Welcome to Free Republic, FRiend!
You are correct. Two more conservative judges should protect our rights for another generation.
Deserves a bump!
I sadly, and reluctantly agree....
It’s about time that this fable of “military use only” was ended once and for all.
This is why Ill vote Mccain even though hes uninspiring. If only that was all he is.
Thank you VERY much for being there and posting this.
It has taken THIRTEEN years to get to this point. Good golly. That is awful. Texas can execute a murderer faster than that.
“God Bless This Court was spoken, and we were underway.”
Yet another thing (the mention of God) to PO the American Communist Liars Union and their gun banning libdolt allies...
But it’s there. Focus on the positive. This case might give a huge boost toward restoring our badly eroded 2A rights.
A: Because they have no legal guns there!
When do we declare open season on the Tyrants?
If there are dissenters when this infringement is declared unconstitutional I'm going to reanimate the corpse of Thomas Jefferson so he can feed his Liberty Tree.
Once the rights are properly recognized, we'll be able to protect them ourselves!
If our right to own firearms is not recognized by the US Government then we are one short step away from being like the USSR or the PRC.
You are correct. My statement was not worded properly. If the court does not make the right choice then all of our rights will be threatened by the Federal Government. The people in Tibet may have freedoms if they could exercise their right to own firearms.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
OK, did I miss something - seems pretty clear to me! I'm a people and I have the right to have a gun!
bookmark for later followup.
So did Souter’s and Ms Buzzy’s questions indicate they shall go down in history as two of the only Supreme Court justices to not understand the Bill of Rights refers to the people and not some collectivist horse puckey?
>>Its about time that this fable of military use only was ended once and for all.
I’m kind of surprised there hasn’t been more mention of Ginsberg (of all people) saying that the ban on machine guns might not pass the Miller test since full auto weapons are standard issue.
