Obama: Services in Wright’s church might seem jarring to some people unfamiliar with such things. Wright always treats whites with courtesy and respect. I cannot disown him any more than I can disown the black community or my white grandmother. His grandmother has uttered racial, ethnic stereotypes that have made him cringe.
