The only thing new about the presidential campaigns latest race card episode, which was triggered by former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, is that the Wall Street Journals March 13 editorial analysis of her comment was dead wrong. It started with the opening sentence:
Is it just us, or does Barack Obama seem a mite too quick to play the race card when facing criticism from political opponents?
Yes, it is just yall. Obama did not play the race card, he simply responded to a racial comment by a high-profile Hillary Clinton supporter.
If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position, Ferraro said. And if he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.

I’ve been saying this for weeks; the Clinton’s are being accused of playing the race card while it’s actually Obama and his wife who are doing this.
“Times have changed, but not that much. For anybody.”
I am surprised that Herman is playing the downtrodden black man game. Times have changed enormously. We now have black racist more blatent that white ones.
They’re quicker on the draw...
America has a huge race problem. The black community really needs to start cleaning up it's act.
Remember Bill Clinton's outburst when he was gently questioned by Chris Wallace? It worked. No one has questioned Hillary over the failures of her previous co-Presidency in dealing with the threat from Islamic terrorism.
The amount of white racism I have seen in my life has been miniscule. ... But the amount of black racism that I have seen has been huge. Blacks against blacks who act too white, Blacks against whites who seem like they can be bullied, Blacks against Koreans who seem to be succeeding in America. It just goes on and on.
America has a huge race problem. The black community really needs to start cleaning up it’s act.

Very well stated. I completely agree.
America has a huge race problem. The black community really needs to start cleaning up its act.”
I was shocked because I did not expect to see the MSM state the obvious, because it had been “off limits” for so long. Maybe we are seeing a turning point toward a true color blind society. I would like to think so. Blacks, women, hispanics, asian-americans, pacific islanders and others have all been able to claim official special rights at the expense of others for quite a while. It is time to require color blindness in the law.
I posted at Hot Air about that a few weeks ago. I’ve followed the Obama bloggers for quite awhile and it was very obvious that they were responsible. Part of the preemptive politics of victimization.
