Because we live in a spoon fed, media culture in which things that don't appear on the nightly news, Springer, Oprah or American Idol never really happened. Consequently, these events, which occurred 8/9/07 never really occured until they were shown by the MSM last week. Keep in mind that most of the electorate in this country finds it far easier to engage reality when somebody else presentsit to them, rather than going through all the effort of actually going out and confronting it.

I'm no Obama fan for sure but ...
I don't place my hand over my heart for the Star Spangled Banner. But I do for the Pledge of Allegiance. I think that is pretty much the norm. Since this was the during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner I don't see why it is such a big deal.

If you watch the entire video, the camera pans the stage and you see there are only two people who do not have their hands over their heart. One is Obama and the other appears to be John Ritter. Gosh darn Commies!

I’ve been trying to convince the editors of Newsmax to publish a follow-up article and I think they might finally do it this week.
Dr. Jeremiah Wright has been observed disembarking from the same private jet as Barack Hussein Obama on numerous occasions in the past few months. There is only one explanation. Dr. Wright is traveling with Obama on the campaign trail as his personal spiritual advisor.
This guy traveled to Libya to visit with Muammar Khadaffy with Louis Farrakhan. They did it four years after Libyan fighter jets opened fire on American aircraft over international waters, and three years before Libyan-backed terrorists blew up Pan Am Flight 103 with Americans on board over Lockerbie, Scotland. Make no mistake, it was at a time when Khadaffy was an enemy of the United States and a sponsor of international terrorist groups who murdered American civilians.
I have repeatedly contacted the Obama campaign to offer them an opportunity to explain Dr. Wright’s consistent presence in the Senator’s personal ontourage on the campaign trail. They have refused to comment, refused to return numerous phone calls, and generally stonewalled me.
