WASHINGTON - Michigan Democrats agreed Friday to push a do-over primary in early June to give them a say in the close presidential race between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.
Amid talks with the two campaigns, the four Michigan Democrats said in a statement they were "focusing on the possibility of a state-run primary in early June which would not use any state funding." Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, one of the Democratic participants, said a likely date is June 3.
"This option would require the passage of legislation by the state legislature, and we look forward to working with the members of the legislature in the coming days to see if this option can be made a reality," the Democrats said.

Edwards did not drop out till Jan 30th I think Michigan had their primaries Jan 15th
he’s dropped out of the race..
This election will wind up, at numerous levels, being decided by judges, not voters.
Sorry, I did a google search on it.. and that is what it said.. that it was jan 30th....
I’m not disputing you. I’m saying he is no longer in the race right now..even though he was in THEN..so what do they do with him?
Michigan is the Muslim capitol of the US. Obama’s middle name is Hussein. There is a large black population in Michigan.
The math looks good for him.
I understand there is a significant black and black Muslim population in Florida as well.
Obama may want a do-over there too.
I hate to break this down to race, but let’s be frank: that is what it is about on the democrat side right now.
I think all the candidates who were on the ballot at the time of Michigan voting should be back on the ballot.. That is what I am guessing...Edwards may not have dropped out, if he had come in second or so.. even tho I doubt it.. but who knows.. this is a fun election...
agreed..wouldn’t it be a complete hoot now if edwards, and everyone else who was in the race at that time, demanded to be back on the ballot??
bump
If Michigan and Florida do get re-done I think Obama is in big trouble. Hillary won’t win the overall delegates, but I believe she can win the Popular vote....and the Pastorgate issue will help HRC in Mich, FL and PA IMO.
