Depends. Obama is not nearly as slick as Slick. He has gotten an incredible “bye” in the press, and they could prop him up. However, he will go into meltdown mode fairly easily if anyone pushes him.

From what I am reading, Obama's new defense is that quite coincidently, in the 20 years he has been a member of this church, he happened to not be in attendance any time Wright preached racist sermons. He happened to miss each one of them and had no such idea they even happened..

If you have seen those videos, please post a link. If you have not and just assumed there are such videos, then post that you have not actually seen them. I do hope such videos are available as Obama will not be able to say he NEVER heard his beloved pastor say such things. But then, even if he did not hear them himself, he certainly knew Wright and knew about his terrible racest statements.

I grew up in Chicago and visited this so-called church at the urging of a former friend, who is still a member. I left before they passed the plate I was so turned off. That was about 6 years ago. That moment and my outing as a conservative ended a 20+ year friendship. I been dragged into some wacky churches including some new agey one with Della Reese, but I think you got me beat.
I also lost freindships over some of these experiences.
