It's a tough call -- Dina was on Larry King Live last night and I must say she looked pretty hot. But Silda has been given short shrift on account of her frazzled appearance yesterday. When you put a non-frazzled picture of her side by side with one of Dina, I think Silda has the edge.

It’s even lower than $5,000 now, but the exact number is kept secret. I discovered this when withdrawing cash from my local branch, and they asked for my driver’s license as well as my bank card, and swiped them both through the reader. I asked why the driver license was also swiped, and they said it was the rule for large cash withdrawals. I asked what the limit was, and they said, “I’m sorry sir, but we are not allowed to divulge that information.”

In my own bank, and it was well under $5,000.

I've heard rumors of $2000

Wow. In her primped state she is a very attractive woman.

Wonder what attracted her to the little troll initially?

Banks are free to establish whatever protocols they may believe are appropriate to prevent fraudulent transactions. Under the Uniform Commercial Code, a bank is financially liable for permitting fraudulent withdrawals from a depositor’s account. It makes perfect sense that a bank wouldn’t publicize what its protocols were.

The name of the bank could not immediately be determined.

What bank? Might there have been a chance for career advancement and notice high up the chain that the good governor had become a blip on the screen?

Millions of SARS are generated each week and flow into the Internal Revenue Service nationwide, but an analyst at the regional IRS office in Hauppauge noted Spitzer's particular SAR and singled it out for attention to criminal investigators, the sources said.

Whell that was one really alert IRS agent, wouldn't you say? Looks like his career is on the rise too.

This blog (wonette.com) asks: Is there a dress code for this sort of thing?

You forgot to mention that blood was not flowing to his brain when he made his decision.

That's always a problem when you let the little guy do your thinking for you.

“Imagine Hillary Clinton with powers of the Patriot Act.”

Bush is such a moron.

The Clinton statement is so stupid on its face I don't even know if it's worth a reply. But here goes.

Do you or the op think that if Clinton became President she would be bound by something as silly as laws? Democrats are the Herbert Hoovers of the Oval Office. Laws don't pertain to them so for us to keep repeating the stupid statement is so DU'ish.

It's like gun control laws. Let's pass a law to make sure people are safe from guns. The problem is the CRIMINALS don't obey the law!

Such as it will be with any sort of "Patriot Act".

I wonder who the owners of this “club” are?

Gambino - that's how it went from the IRS to the Southern District.

I’ve been in banking for 13 years. I never dealt with deposit accounts, cash or transfers. But I still had to be trained annually to spot transactions exactly like what Spitzer did.

Be sure to tell that to any of your Dem friends that think this is somehow politically motivated. Tellers and branch managers file these reports all the time.

Yes, it is pervasive. No one is immune from the all-seeing eye.

My husband’s grandmother had cash stashed all over her house. She would go to the bank get out 300-500 bucks and put it someplace “safe” at home, then she would then promptly forget where she had put it and have to go back to the bank for more. lol Her house was like a treasure hunt after she died. In drawers, inside old magazines stacked in the den, top shelf of closets, jars in the litchen, old teapots, you name it she had a bit of money hidden there.

That is absolutely correct, Moonman, it's the most significant part of the article. What a stupid fool.

Apparently, having second thoughts about even sending the total amount in this manner because it still might reveal what he was doing, Spitzer then asked that the bank to take his name off the wires, the sources said.

Seen this?
