An adviser to Barack Obama who called Hillary Clinton a “monster” during an interview has resigned, apologizing for the remark amid pressure from the Clinton campaign.
Samantha Power, an unpaid foreign policy adviser to Obama and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, made the offending comment during an interview with the Scottish newspaper, The Scotsman.
“With deep regret, I am resigning from my role as an adviser the Obama campaign effective today,” Power said in a statement Friday. “Last Monday, I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton and from the spirit, tenor, and purpose of the Obama campaign. And I extend my deepest apologies to Senator Clinton, Senator Obama, and the remarkable team I have worked with over these long 14 months.”
Power had previously released an apology saying her remarks “do not reflect my feelings about Senator Clinton.”
Power’s original comments came during what the newspaper described as an “unguarded moment,” as Power was describing how the Clinton campaign was stopping at nothing to catch up to Obama in the Democratic race.
“She is a monster, too — that is off the record — she is stooping to anything,” Power told the newspaper, which published the remarks in Friday’s edition and released them earlier on the paper’s Web site.

Meanwhile, the stuff I hear on TV -- stuff people "shouldn't say" around children -- keeps increasing.
Obama has a never-ending supply of disposables to say things and be dismissed.
I guess Obama is not going to get tough with clinton and will continue on with the Hope thing. The clintons are going to crush him. (I know he has the “math” on his side— doesn’t matter- he’ll lose behind closed doors with the clintons pulling the strings. Nice messiahs finish last)

As I've been saying for many years, I'm worried about VICE President Clinton.
Think of it:
• Two years and one day into her term the first slotter gets arkincided
• Under Article XXII, she can still run for two full terms as the incumbent
• The Glorious Hillary!™ Decade begins
• Hillary uses the Patriot Act to it's fullest extent, and beyond
• At the end of the Glorious Hillary!™ Decade there is a National Emergency "temporarily" delaying the elections
• Under the pressure of the National Emergency, the 2nd and 22nd amendments are repealed
• By the time the National Emergency is over all the 'improved' source code for the touch screen electronic balloting will be in place......
Just as an aside, with the Clinton's well known love of 'ethnics', Obama is very expendable, isn't he?

I read long ago about some of the name calling that was often used during the campaigns of Andrew Jackson. Monster would have been user friendly compared to some of the names he and his staff used, and they were Democrats!
